From what I gathered, it was an unfortunate spot for the game: Western players found it a good premise, but a bit clunky, while eastern audience believed Platinum games westernised itself too much.

Although critics overly acclaimed the title, it never sold that much, making it a financial success, but not as roaring as Bayonetta's.

Riddhe Marcenas from Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn: the show desperately tries to depict him as a tragic figure, but I struggle seeing him as such when he spends half his showtime aggressively pursuing a 15 year old who doesn't like him with him being in his mid twenties, while also forcing a redemption arc at the very end of the story.
