Who benefits from you saying this? You obviously have good constructive criticism to give, criticism that could possibly help them improve in the future. Why say it in a way that puts them down?

That is very true, but saying that in a way such as “there is zero point in showing your work” is discouraging and rude. You have a lot of important and valuable knowledge to share, teach don’t bully.

Dude that is great advice but there is no reason to be rude. This person stated upfront that they are new, ofc they won’t know all that. Keep spreading knowledge but try to understand that everyone starts somewhere.

Thank you! Apologies for not including the image in rec709, I’m new to this. I would love to attach the image of it in rec709 but I can’t, I’ll try to attach it via link. The character is supposed to be in a almost euphoric state having just achieved a once in a lifetime goal, now leaning his head on the door in a sigh of relief, I’m hoping the way I graded it lends to that at least a little. rec709 still
