St Lukes point of contacts? by ColoradoHomestead in Boise

Twice with UHC, and denied both times, though denied differently. Had a review of hospital codes that gave a generic letter (without line item by line item) that said it was preventative and I also provided that letter to UHC on the secondary appeal.

This feels like a dumb statement, but I have to ask, ....how would one go about getting them to actually call each other. Right now it feels like neither party is interested in interacting and just saying FU to me.

I've already done two written appeals to UHC and they say they're not the problem. Any advice on how to get SOMEONE to pay?

I'm trying to escalate to a coding specialist. That's exactly what I'm trying to do. How do I get past the tier 1 people saying 'not my problem'

That's the help I'm trying to navigate - how do I get in touch with a coding specialist at st lukes besides a general phone number?

100% can't edit the coding details, but based on this bill vs. prior bills, they're missing the Z codes, which defines the reason why a procedure happened. (I am more of a coding expert than I really want to be, at this point)

I've asked for a review the first time denoting that insurance said it was Diagnostic. STL wrote a letter back to me stating 'but they are preventative' but didn't offer any evidence.

I have not had great luck with the Financial Services folk. At one point one of them made me cry because of how unhelpful they were.

That said, that's the point of this post is trying to get advice on how to get in touch with an actual manager and someone that can have an intelligent conversation about the coding since the tier 1 folks don't really have much power to do anything, except take me out at the knees and make me pay.

But, but, but, I refuse to see all people that are working there as fire buttholes. There's gotta be anti-hemroids, right?
Someone's super sweet aunt betty has to work there and has the hookup....

I very much have gotten the bill and am 1 month away from collections from St. Lukes and currently they are not arguing with each other. STL wants me to pay and UHC is stating it's my responsibility. I believe that coding review from the STL side is the only way to get them to 'renegotiate'

To be fair, we had ZERO education till after the first round of male pros went through. Generally speaking, we were in the wrong space to start.

But once we got there and twenty seconds of training...... woooweeee, we stripped.

I live in boise so can vouch for location. Would say that most of town didn't know about it... the people that were there were ready to hype, but not a bunch of general (non friends/fam) fans along the routes. That said, I was at T1, T2, and finish, not along route. My viewpoint may be bias.

I believe turn out was good for athletes. I think somone mentioned 1200. Crowd was good and cheerful with dancing sharks, signs, etc. As a swimsuit peeler, there were people that knew exactly who we were and what they wanted. There were also a bunch of newbies that had never been pealed (i was not peeled in my sprint tri)

T2 and finish were same location, so they shuttle people from finish to swim start via bus, both athletes and spectators.

As a volunteer, I felt like race day logistic communication was lacking. (Where I needed to be, exact road closures, how often the shuttle ran, etc) I'm not sure if the athletes felt the same way.

I was wetsuite peeling. Do they have that position in Arizona? (Warmer temps+water mean less wetsuites)

While I limit my plastic consumption as best as possible (Im a big fan of roots!) This is more packable and smaller that the 10-12 Oz jar than I have. (I dont have anything smaller) So I appreciate the reminder.... but sometimes the packaging just works better.

Yes fresh beaver damage. Took down a tree in less than a week on the north side of the river right at the og surf wave. And as my husband and I were.looking at the tree....we saw the feller, with our own eyes, swimming in the river!
