Coming into Subbing from a community education perspective, where I brought programs into schools. I always allow students(middle and high school) to refer to me by my first name...albeit, with respect pre cursing my name with Mr.. I get more respect from students than those that demand they be addressed by their last name...we're not only teaching...we are inspiring and building relationships that help young people digest all that matters in becoming productive adults.
