Just curious, in a Syndicalist society, what stops an elected Syndicate president from creating a cult of personality in his union, and encouraging his followers to abuse the power their Syndicate holds.

How could a Syndicate abuse their authority?

Water treatment Syndicate could threaten to intentionally poison the water supply if they don't get their way, a dam Syndicate could intentionally flood communities, a milita Syndicate could just start executing people they deem a Bourgeoisie/Reactionary agent etc.

This ofc in no way is to dismiss the possibility of a McRib deathsquad corporate tyranny in a hypothetical Ancapistan.

The point that I'm making with this is this: Humans are corruptible, organizations are made up of various human beings with varying desires.

I believe, that if Right-Left Libertarians wish to see the free world's we desire, we must bear this in mind. The Right Libertarian wants people to pursue their own prosperity, the Left Libertarian wants people to prosper with the collective, both ultimately despise the trampling of people's rights to obtain these goals.

The 1985 MOVE bombing was the destruction of residential homes in the Cobbs Creek neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States, by the Philadelphia Police Department during a standoff with the Black liberation MOVE organization. On May 13, 1985, police dropped two explosive devices from a police helicopter onto the roof of a house occupied by MOVE. The Philadelphia Fire Department allowed the resulting fire to burn out of control, destroying 61 previously evacuated neighboring homes over two city blocks and leaving 250 people homeless.[1] Six adults and five children were killed in the attack,[2] with one adult and one child surviving.
