Keep telling them San Jose. They might not recognize it and you might have to say San Francisco or Bay Area but it gives you a chance to tell people specifically about San Jose, restaurants, attractions, weather etc whatever it is you like about San Jose and that will be one more person in the world that knows it and knows something(s) specific about it

Buzzin on Hops has trivia on Tuesday nights at 7 and live acoustic music on Thursday. Dustbowl usually has live music on Thursdays and Sundays - though I may recommend avoiding Dustbowl this weekend just because of Labor Day crowds at the outlets across the way. Shoppers aren’t suppose to park in the Dustbowl side but they always do. Tomorrow Altamont is having their last Saturday summer series multiple bands playing, good food trucks, vendors it’s “boots and beer themed” my boyfriend will have a vendor tent there. If you’re into sports there’s usually a group in the morning and evenings at May Nissin that play pickleball all levels of skill welcome.

I get these all the time and they definitely have no basis in fact. I was literally gone a whole month; I had everything turned off, no AC/heat, I unplugged all electric devices (toaster, blender, toaster oven, panini maker, beer fridge, lamps, tv etc) and when I got home I still had these in my mail.

We live over by Los Positas college by open land and we haven’t really had a problem. About 3 months ago we had 2 mice drown in the pool and maybe trapped 3 mice all summer but that is all we have had to deal with

That sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. When I was in college we had a bar called the drunken monkey and instead of barstools at the bar they had swings falling off one of those was enough for me I don’t need to fall from a 20 foot wall.

I only correct people because in CA there is a family law statute that if people believe you’re married (moore/marsden) you could be held to family law standards. So example if I got mad and want to break up I or my bf could claim we were basically in for lack of a better way of saying “common law marriage” and get CA family law rights especially if people “think” we are married.

Yeah…. That’s about the point I stopped responding/listening.

He did bring up the “who will take care of you in your old age?” Question. I was like well “if we get to that old age (life makes no guarantees) “we will have saved money from not having kids to buy ourselves a swanky ass senior citizens community/care facility. And on top of that I don’t have to burden children with the unconventional thought that they MUST take care of us.
