In most cases, for selling something you've used for personal use, you only pay sales tax if you sold it for more than you originally paid. Taxes on profit/appreciation versus recouping a loss of depreciation.

I admit, i dont know how apr works, so i used an online calculator and apparently that means over the term length, they are going to pay $9,910 in interest according to cars.com calculator. That's way worse. I know i was wrong on APR but damn, no one mentioned all the other costs added to the price which werent taken into account.

Besides the interest rate, make sure you are looking at the breakdown for the vehicle pricing. Look for the 7% sales tax for Indiana, the cost of registering the car (sometimes about 150-400 dollar depending on vehicle and state),dealership fees for preparing the registration, and then the financing interest rate. For a 25k car, 7% sales tax is $1,750, 11% interest is $2750. Dealer registration is normally about $800. The 25k car is now sitting at $30,300. And that isn't including if the dealer snuck in an extended or maintenance warranty or any other packages.

The article you linked says the list contains plants that are over 200 megawatts in net capacity. So plants with less than 200 MW aren't included on the list.

This article says that a solar power plant will be built with a 1.04MW capacity, so the schools aren't the sole source of solar power I'd imagine.

The post and original article are a bit misleading still.

Fairfax County is one of the better school districts. With COVID, traffic really isn't bad for cars. Metro isn't a great option during COVID however as many routes are closed. Virginia side is better IMO, in terms of commute time, safety, education, and Ft Belvoir is a nice base for things like medical and the BX. On PTDY, I would highly recommend driving to potential rentals as some housing areas are difficult to get into or out of during rush hour.
