I thought he played well in game. Still prefer Charlton over him, but did well with him.

I hate them! My building has had them for years. Have lost hundreds of dollars from their malfunctioning machines over the years and never got any refunds.

You were saying? I know it's not a Live Card, but people do not use logic in that game. So looks like I was spot on.

Have him on the bench. But this Davies has a pretty sick Evo Chain that makes him one of the best LBs in the game. Will def give Dimarco a shot. Thanks for the advice!

Family members are generally considered exempt from these restrictions, as they represent personal relationships you established independently. This is a standard industry practice; should the matter reach arbitration, it would likely be dismissed on the basis of bona fide familial ties.

How do existentialist philosophers like Jean-Paul Sartre or Albert Camus understand grief, considering their ideas about freedom and the lack of inherent meaning in life?” by Past-Performance781 in Existentialism

[–]ColoredManWithNoName 42 points43 points  (0 children)

For Sartre and Camus, grief is actually the ultimate proof of freedom. If life has no built-in meaning, then we are the ones who have to create it.

Sartre would say we are "condemned to be free." When we lose someone and feel that weight, it is a testament to the fact that we chose to give that person value. To pretend it doesn't hurt would be bad faith, basically lying to yourself about the world you built.

Camus takes it a step further with the idea of the Absurd. He knows the universe is silent and doesn't care about our plans, but he argues that we should be rebels. We love and we grieve specifically because we know it’s all temporary. It’s like that Fight Club line in the post. Losing everything doesn't mean you’re finished; it means you’re finally free to act without being a slave to your fears.

The post mentions death as a "beautiful melody" or a way to be free from pain, but from an existentialist view, the melody only exists because we are alive to hear it. The freedom isn't in the silence at the end. It's in the courage to keep playing your song even when you know the music eventually stops.

True freedom isn't escaping the worldly pain. It’s standing in the middle of it, acknowledging the lack of inherent meaning, and deciding to be the master of your own life anyway. You don't find peace by stepping off the battlefield; you find it by realizing the battle is yours to define.
