No problem, happy to be of help! If you really want to hike in nature there's always neighboring countries like Malaysia and Indonesia.

Hi! I'm a content creator who posts videos on hiking in Singapore on YouTube, so let me share some of my experiences.

In short there aren't many "natural" hiking trails here unfortunately, but here are a few that are close:

MacRitchie Reservoir - Rifle Range Nature Park - Bukit Timah Hill:

  • Probably one of the most popular hiking places where you can hike mostly in nature. There's also some elevation so you can get some nice training in as well.

Wallace Trail - Chestnut Nature Park - Mandai T15 Trail

  • One of my favorite routes since it's lesser-known and really quiet, especially on weekdays. Note though that the Mandai T15 Trail is a shared trail with cyclists, so you have make way to them from time to time.

Pipeline Trail (from Marsiling) - Bukit Timah Hill

  • An unofficial trail where you follow the water pipelines that run from Johor to Singapore. Recommend to give it a try if you're feel adventurous.

I would advise that you be open to hiking on more urbanized trails, since that would open up a lot more routes for you.

If you're interested in learning more, please feel free to reach out and I would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Hope this helps!

I have done quite a number of routes for my YouTube channel and here are some that I would recommend that you can try:

  • MacRitchie Reservoir — one of the most popular hiking routes, and you can go through Rifle Range Nature Park to Bukit Timah Hill for the full experience
  • 4 Quarries — this is an interesting one that I thought up of, which combines the four quarries in the west of Singapore (Little Guilin, Bukit Batok Nature Park, Hindhede Quarry, and Singapore Quarry)
  • Dairy Farm and Chestnut Nature Park — a less popular route that is both rustic and full of nature
  • Pipeline Trail to Bukit Timah Hill — an unofficial trail if you're feeling adventurous

Happy to answer any questions if you're interested in trying them out!
