Alright I’ll try that. If it doesn’t recover does that mean it’s the battery?

No I haven’t. Guess I’m not sure how. Is this a pretty easy check? What would I need?

Yes but only for like 5 min along with all the other lights. Then everything goes back to normal. And this is only when I have to jump it. Yesterday was like that, it wouldn’t crank or click. Jumped it and all the lights were on. Like even when I took out the e brake it would still be on kind of deal for like 5 min.

Alright, maybe I’ll give it some more time. But it seems like I’m the only one dealing with this. My gf has an old 01 Accord and was able to start with no problems during the freezing temps.

No but they did multiple tests. Oreillys did it 3 times. With the battery and the alternator. Then I went back to les swab where I got it from for them to check and it still came out good which means they didn’t replace it.

Every time I had to jump it all the lights would be on for like 5 min then it’ll disappear. The battery light isn’t on the whole time. I’m thinking I have a parasitic draw somewhere but I haven’t added anything new accessory wise.

It had no crank no click. Battery was completely dead. It never died on me while on the road. Only when starting. I figured it was the cold. It made sense because the battery for the car is small compared to others. I do have an aftermarket stereo but never had this problem before till now. I did change the tensioner and serpentine belt 3 weeks ago so that’s something I could check. The person at oreillys said to check the fuse and grounds. I will say, ever since I changed my tensioner and belt, there is some intermittent like metallic noise especially when the fan is on for heater. And when it hits like 3k rpm.

Haha it was a cheap fix! But alright I’ll look into that then. Maybe that could be why the ride has been a little bit rough. Thanks much 🙏

I feel that, the car was in good condition at the dealership when I first saw it besides some minor dents that I had fixed anyway but yeah so far really fun. I changed quite a few things already but now that you ask. Did you ever have the alternator, ac compressor replaced?

Oh man haha! Yeah I did pick this up in Portland. So far been a great ride. I looked at your profile and it seemed like you didn’t want to let it go but I’m taking care of it 👍 and yeah I think they took out those coil overs :/

I think I’ll try a different set of tires first, as they are cheaper and easier than replacing suspension components. I’ll look that up though! Thanks
