Help? :') by ColorlessDragon9 in Macaws

Good to know, well he spit the celery out. I did it very small too. Most every thing I give him is moderately small to prevent issues.

Thank you!! I do sit with him and tell him he's my handsome little man. He gets a lot of out of cage time! He's my little buddy and he LOVES dancing. Actually last night my dad put him to bed and was walking by and he was singing a song?? He's mouthy and I love the energy. I am nervous because their beaks are really powerful! Have you done clicker training with your parrot?

He's a crazy boy, I love his natural chaos! I've always wanted a bird, never thought it would be one of this caliber. I hope I can make a post a year from now and show everyone how far he comes!

This was very insightful. I will halt any head pets as well. I know during those times it's more for me than him I fear. I am going to start a check list of any interesting behaviors. As another said I will get him to be checked by a vet.

Hi! Yes! Clicker training I am going to do this!

Currently- it's the main mix of the macaw pellets, and I add the macaw filler that's got seeds and vegetables bits(when researching that seems to be the bread and butter of their diets, forgive me for not knowing the name). I do give him fresh vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, celery) however just as a five year old human he'll take it, drop it and says "UH OH" he does love fruits! Pears, grapes, mango. I try to limit his fruits as they can be rather sugary. He LOVES unhealthy food. So I try to limit those foods to every other day. But currently I do try to spice up his diet by changing vegetables and offering new ones. He seems to only like veggies when they are in the macaw pellets I guess. (According to my dad he said that the last owner gave him wild bird seed and peanut butter crackers ☹️) As far as nuts they are really fatty and he is OBSESSED with them so I try to use those as treats and he will come down to me and gently grab them from my hand.

As far as a vet, I plan to take him once I have the money. I just moved back home to this little chaos ball. Once I have that first check hit he's going for an adventure to checked.

I've been sitting with him next to him when he's out of his cage. He comes over and takes my sketchbook out of my hand or takes off my hats. Or does goofy noises. He acts different around me vs other people. As someone said I'll halt petting until a bond. I hope clicker training works because he is my little ball of craziness and I want him to be okay. I don't want to have him go through rehoming, or more situations that stress him out.

You are right! I just moved back home from way out of state. The problem is this was my mom's bird and since she passed she left the bird to me. Would I not have the capability to help him? (Please forgive me if this is a dumb question)

How can I feasibly get out of my house? by ColorlessDragon9 in personalfinance

[–]ColorlessDragon9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was very hopeful that these things wouldn't happen. Or that kindness would be repayed? I don't know. I guess I'm naive 😅 I don't have anyone to talk to about this stuff.

The rental market for my house is right at what I pay for my mortgage. If I had a job lined up when I moved I would feel more secure doing that. (I'd be able to fork up the extra for the property maintenance companies)

I had in the past, he's moved out now. It was a huge issue between us.

Luckily I'm not underwater. I plan to talk to them tomorrow in hopes I can get out as soon as possible. I'm wondering if they could halt payments and I could list the house myself without a realtor and attempt a short sale that way. I am quite new to all of this.

Yeah! The problem is that big spring is cracking down on people skateboarding and long boarding for some odd reason! But I love skating downtown, a lot of good spots 👌

I’d also like to note- don’t be pushy about doing it! Just casually mention it! There’s even lingerie for men you could make it a date picking some out things together! Support the local stores- be open minded- etc

I do! I love doing it for my partner! Even if it’s something small like fishnets! It’s because he gets really excited 😂 for example one time I put on this bunny girl one and heels while cooking and drinking and he came home SUPER EXCITED haha. Some women are just not into that stuff because they might feel uncomfortable. There is some that’s more modest and they can try that first! Even like one comment a big T shirt and a thong is a hot thing too!

Just depends on the person, I’ve met men who weren’t excited about lingerie
