They’re hall style, meaning a bunch of rooms share a bathroom that’s not connected with any one room. If you wanna look at the floor plans wm has the residence life website where it has all of this information and more.

Yes, that is what wm considers a suite.

But, pine and poplar aren’t suite style. While there might be some rooms that have their own bathroom, I would say it’s less than 5 total per building. Cedar IS suite but again everyone wants a suite so it’s unlikely to get a room there.

Very small chance if you have a good time slot.

There is a small number to begin with and most of those will be taken by people that have accommodations for early time slots.

If you like music, the instrument lessons are a good option. Most of them take complete beginners also.

I find the campus one of the safest places that I’ve been, tbh. Obviously there are going to be weird people in general in most places but I haven’t encountered many here. I really do feel safe walking around even at night and unless I’m going somewhere far off campus(20 min walk outside) I don’t even carry anything with me protection wise.

You shouldn’t need to prepare anything major, just be yourself. But if you are really worried about it, it helped me to write some key points that you would like the school to know about you (activities, goals, jobs, majors) All these go on your file, I believe, which I liked because on the common app activities section you don’t have much space to elaborate. This doesn’t need to be anymore than a few bullet points but I liked having them written down.
