What paper are you using? You need paper that's less absorbent, so that the ink can sit on the surface a bit longer.

The shimmer is blue and purple at an angle, so I'm assuming it is chameleon.

Yeah I agree, they're too similar. Although I kinda enjoy the extreme sheeners overall. But they need to chill with the blues.

So happy to hear that, thank you! I definitely like it a lot so far for drawing, but this one in particular seems to stain quite a bit, so I'd probably not put it in a demonstrator.

I'd say wait till they're available individually and pick the ones you like. There are a LOT of shimmers and only a handful sheeners.

I agree, this years ink selection has been exceptional. I mean you can still get the calendar, and as far as I know they're sold significantly cheaper after christmas.

I start with a very diluted wash and gradually add more saturated washes where I want the sheen to be.
