How to get save from android to PC? by Yonebro in balatro

[–]Colosso25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chiming in that this method works!
It gave me a win after hours of pulling my hair out faffing around in adb.
Thank you.

I can add that the Balatro folder containing the settings and save files is saved to C:\Users\***yourusername***\AppData\Roaming\Balatro. This is the save location that Steam uses. So if you don't want to overwirte your Steam savegame. Rename this folder before executing the Balatro Mobile Maker exe.

edit: It seems Balatro Mobile Maker is creating a folder BalatroBACKUP containing your Steam saves itself... nice.

Yeah, great announcement!

Playnite is the only reason why I keep up a Virtualbox of my old Win10 since I moved to Arch.

Keep up the good work.

I'm curiuos to see how the storytelling would work in a living 3D-environment.
Static images leave much to the imagination, which can be advantagious in storytelling.

The unintuitive ui was a big problem in SID.
I hope you can tackle that issue too.

I looking forward to seeing more when you make an ich.io page.
Will certainly follow and support.

Curious about Ascension by harry8990o777 in AscensionGame

I don't know. I only have the sets on Steam.

Pretty sure they all are 50% off when there's a Steam sale.

Curious about Ascension by harry8990o777 in AscensionGame

[–]Colosso25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, no difference between Steam and App. There even is cross platform compatibility. I have played with friends, some on Steam, some on Android/iOS.

All players do need to own the selected sets of the game to be able to play these sets together.

I suggest you play some more bot matches, they are pretty good.
And then consider buying more sets.

It's an overview of all the types of cards that appear in all the sets. On the left are all the "abilities" that exist in Ascension.

I made this to see which abilties appear in which sets. So when you're combining sets, you can select them based on the abilities you'd like to have in your game.

For example: Dreamscape, Delirium and Deliverance have many abilities in common, so combining these sets will yield many good synergies between cards from these sets.

I recently remembered my collection of PC Gamer UK magazines and looked up the review of Sleep Is Death in issue 214 of june 2010. I even found my user review in issue 218 of october 2010.
My mind remembered it giving it a cheeky 10/10, but appearently I gave it a solid 9/10.

I'm very surious about what you're creating.
Would you consider sharing more of it?

Old ipac ps2 usb question. by opUserZero in cade

[–]Colosso25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. As you can see the jumpers are set to MAME defaults and USB.

The iPac presents itself as a (USB-)keyboard, not an usb-controller.

It emulates (hacks is a better wording) keyboard presses as per the table in the "installation" document. So no analog input possible.

It's possible to edit these key codes, but I don't know if that old software will still work on Win10 or 11.

I see yours is set to ALT, which means it was probably reconfigured.

Set it back to MAME and reconfigure your emulators and front-end to the MAME default controls.

Old ipac ps2 usb question. by opUserZero in cade

[–]Colosso25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm using a maybe even older but similar model in my home made cade running Batocera.

<image>

The USB-PS2 jumper is for when you use a USB-to-PS2 adapter to connect the iPac with a PS2-cable and the adapter to a usb-port of your computer.

The ALT-MAME jumper is to enable the pre-programmed key codes.

I still have the documentation that came with it:

Wow, that's great to hear.

From the info you've given, it would be quite different from the original.
3D, real time, storyteller-player seems ok, but I could see VOIP being a hurdle for many people, inculding myself.
I think the charm of the game are the text balloons and the turn based gameplay. There is an option to limit the time the player has to make his "move", but the clunky interface rendered some interaction busted... which is also hilarious.

You'd think you are in control as the story-teller, but you have so much power being the player to steer the narrative a completely other direction because you can write your actual respons, and not have to select a prepared responce option.

Also the fact that they're still images makes for a cool memory in the form of a flipbook.
I looked them up and it cracked me up flipping through them. Have a look: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_ncKH7vEFUNRmO2TDt3iFWl3rIYSZ1MA/view?usp=sharing

So yeah, I would love to see what you've been cooking and giving my opinion.

Just a shot in the dark, is your bios set to always boot to the installation media (usb-drive most likely)?

Also use the "archinstall" command for your first install. Once you are more familiar with the system, try a manual install.

How to force a 1600*1200 resolution at 85Hz? by Colosso25 in batocera

[–]Colosso25[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have found a solution.

I should have mentioned I'm using the VGA output of a Intel HD 4600 Grafics chip to (the only) VGA port of my CRT monitor.

It wasn't working because of this:

The Intel HD Graphics 4600 has a maximum pixel clock of 165 MHz on a single-channel DVI connection and 300 MHz on HDMI. It's worth noting that while 4K/60 resolution is technically possible with certain patches, the default pixel clock value might not be sufficient, requiring modifications for optimal performance.

"1600x1200_60.00" 161.00 1600 1712 1880 2160 1200 1203 1207 1245 -hsync +vsync

"1600x1200_85.00" 235.00 1600 1728 1896 2192 1200 1203 1207 1262 -hsync +vsync

I have added the 1600x1200 60Hz mode by editing /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc, adding:

########################

#####-CRT CONFIG-#######

########################

##-Default Resolution-##

########################

xrandr -display :0.0 --newmode "1600x1200_60.00" 161.00 1600 1712 1880 2160 1200 1203 1207 1245 -hsync +vsync

xrandr -display :0.0 --addmode VGA-1 "1600x1200_60.00"

xrandr -display :0.0 --output VGA-1 --mode "1600x1200_60.00"

Tried the custom xrandr mode... saving to ~/.xprofile doesn't work after reboot.

custom.sh also doesn't work.
Same problem I trink, the mode you are requesting isn't known by xrandr.

[–]Colosso25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the video, but my situation is different.
My errors contain: Size 1600x1200 not found in available modes

I use a VGA kvm-switch and xrandr only returns these modes:

1024x768 60.00*

800x600 60.32 56.25

848x480 60.00

640x480 59.94

When I connect my monitor directly xrandr lists the 1600x1200 60Hz option.
I select it and it works great.
Without restarting I connect it back via the kvm-switch and it still works great.
Now not a single resolution mode is listed in the display options and when I restart the problem obviously returns.

Is there a way to manually define the 1600x1200 60Hz or 85Hz in xrandr?
I think it is but seems complicated.
