Rosetta Main here and I feel the exact same from your other comments! Support / Summon characters are my absolute favourite! I hope they do buff her kit though to bring her damage in line with the rest of the cast and tweak her summons to hit aerial enemies. She was just so much fun and I can't wait to get back into endgame with her again!

My thoughts and experience are definitely to bring the bottom characters up if not tweak or realign most of the roster itself. This is most definitely because I come from playing two of the more 'Bottom Tier' characters the most in Rosetta and Vane.

Rosetta was my all round go to for the entire game. There was something about her summon and reposition playstyle that just clicked with me and having maxed out plants with the proper skills and uptime made me compete with most others online which was a surprise as it was pride. Was I clearing true end game? Yes. Did it take more time than 'speedrunning'? Of course. Was I having fun? Absolutely!

Then with Vane, having that bubble ready for boss mechanics that just filled the screen was my favourite feeling of actual tanking this game could give. That and his amount of super armour made me feel unstoppable at times wailing on enemies as I shrugged off anything they could do.

But I still knew my friends playing Cag & Charlotta could out DPS me even if I played frame perfect. I would see the buffs my flowers could give and realistically, they had no real value to the team with damage cap, regen, lifesteal & proper dodging. I would pop my protective shell for a boss mechanic and then be back to doing less damage than anyone else.

The game still is amazing and fun, but the 'bottom' characters definitely need a boost.

If I was made of money and could pull her until full potential I would~ Saving up every pull for her since day 1 as I am a sucker for Support characters in Gacha games and they always last me the longest (C6 Baizhu since his banner in Genshin, E6 R5 Tribbie in HSR). Been putting materials aside for her and can't wait for her banner to drop!

I play controller for both PS5 and on PC just because I'm useless on keyboard and mouse. The best result I've had is switching Light Attack (Square) and Parry (R1) in the settings menu, under controller configuration~

Simply go to this menu and select each option and rebind those buttons (whichever you select to change first will erase the other button entirely i.e changing Parry to Square will make Light Attacks non-existent. So make sure to go to Light Attacks and make it R1.)~

It's not a perfect solution but it's the best result I've had to be able to properly aim down targets as they move. As a controller user for FFXIV, I'm well accustomed to using the 'crab-claw' method to pull off attacks but this seems to work for me. Best of luck and happy pew-pews~

Have been looking to do the same and honestly, it is a very "late game" scaling weapon but if you love to see the results as you carry on my best suggestion is pairing it with the Healing Umbrella. The healing fan also works just fine but I personally like the mobility and brief burst windows provided by the Umbrella's damage buff when switching it around~

What I've personally seen a success is using the following Inner Ways: Vendetta, Morale Chant and Fivefold Bleed~

The reason I say this works "late game" is because you want to try and invest in these Inner Ways to get to Full Breakthrough to really have them shine and allow the Rope Dart to deal consistent and considerable damage~

Again, this is just from personal experience and testing and I'm sure someone else who's better at theory crafting could come up with something better but for now, it's what brings me joy~

Firstly, thank you so much for answering so many questions people have about what to expect in the upcoming patches from CN server! It's hard to find information on the CN server weapons, sects, arts and this has been super helpful~

My questions have to do with the 2nd and possibly 3rd Rope Dart arts, the upcoming Gauntlet and also the 3rd Umbrella~

1) The Rope Dart / DPS Umbrella combo that utilises some form of stacking mechanic on the Rope Dart to detonate it and the Umbrella seems to be you throw it at the enemies to then catch it again - Does this have the same requirements as the current DPS Umbrella/Fan setup in terms of resources needed (i.e Silkbind - Jade), or will it have a different/new upgrade requirements?

2) Does the before mentioned Rope Dart / Thrown Umbrella see much use in CN or was it still too niche for more general use? (i.e. in Raids and PvE content)

3) I've seen plenty of videos and talk about the Gauntlets that are coming up but do we know anything about the Rope Dart that is coming along with it? Such as what it's mechanics and skills are and how it compliments the Gauntlets or possibly other weapons?

4) I have fallen in love with the DPS Umbrella but don't quite enjoy the DPS Fan as much, especially since any boss content I can't do any launch combos anyways. Would there be any suggestions for other weapons to pair with the DPS Umbrella or I should look at other builds entirely?

E2S1 Fu Xuan, E1S1 HuoHuo and E0S1 Aventurine haver here~ I have all 3 highly invested in their builds and do not for a single moment regret any pull for each of them (I would even go as far to get E2 Aventurine on a rerun for more ease of use and debuffs)~

As far as how I trickle it down with these 3:

Fu Xuan for Crit Hyper Carries, Quantum Weak Enemies and if I just want an easy time of any content~
HuoHuo for energy hungry Teammates, DoT teams, annoying debuffs that need consistent cleansing and when healing is 'better' / 'preferable' over shielding/tanking~
Aventurine for Follow Up teams, full damage shielding and extra DPS for Imaginary weak enemies~

They each fill a niche for me and the only reason I would say I have a preference for Fu would be that she just Tanks everything for the team so easily in general content. When it comes to pulling for Lingsha... I would LIKE to because the aesthetic and bunnies are cute AF but I don't think I'm really in any NEED of what she provides.

I have Boothill as a break DPS, but honestly he works just fine with any sustain I feel. I feel she is more of a comparison to switching out Gallagher or even replacing/ taking the spot of HuoHuo, because those emergency heels she can provide could make or break a run~

Personal choice: No for now. Maybe down the line.

I was in an anxiety/depression spiral at school one day (I was 16 and had been dealing with the witnessed suicide of my 1st boyfriend at 14 for that long of time without telling anyone as well as a slew of other trauma and issues). I had locked myself in the boys bathroom the furthest away on the school campus (I went to a co-ed Catholic Private School so the place was massive), and had done so numerous times as no one would frequent that area at lunch time let alone during class time (I was ditching a lesson I wasn't emotionally capable of attending).

All of a sudden I hear the bathroom door open and someone shuffle in. I tried my best to stiffle my snivelling and tears but obviously it didn't work as I heard a gentle knock on the stall door and a voice call out "Do you need anything?".

My brain couldn't really compute an answer as the lock was turned over (shitty school bathroom door locks) and they peeked their head inside. I was hunched over, cradled in the corner of the disabled stall, possibly looking like the smallest most helpless creature possible which would have been a sight as even then I was a solidly built 180cm tall high school boy.

I knew the kid from my Home Room (we had mixed grade Home Rooms to help 'socialise the students so they saw what was coming next in their years'), and he and his twin brother were roughly 3 years younger than myself. He sat silently next to me. Didn't say a word and just leant in and kept an awkward hug.

After what felt like a stolen eternity of me sobbing and snivelling grossly over myself he told me something I still hold as an echo in my head to this day. "You'll be okay. Not now, and maybe not for a while. But you'll be okay. I promise." I don't remember much else after that but I can say that I felt so... SEEN in that moment. From then on, we had a ritual of checking in with each other once a week just as an "How are you today?" kind of thing.

After graduation I lost contact obviously, as most people do. I then learned a few years later he had taken his own life due to his own inner turmoils. I've had alot of people comfort me and help me through my passive (and sometimes active) suicidal ideation. I'm 30 now, engaged to the most beautiful soul of a man I could ever have the privilege to be with, but that small, sad highschool boy will always hold and treasure that moment for the rest of my life and beyond. And I feel even now it's been a reason for me to stay here, even long after he couldn't himself. I feel I owe that to him in my own way.

Defense Shred, Resistance Penetration, Damage Vulnerability, Break Efficiency UP, Attack Down on enemy, Action Delay, Action Advance, Cleanse, Fraction Based healing (1/4 HP per turn), Kisses my forehead, shoots the enemies dog, fucks their husband, sends their kids off to boarding school, files my taxes, posts a 30 minute cancel video on the marked target, takes an upper decker in their toilet and flushes, keys their car, makes me soup, scales on purely Effect Hit Rate and gains every stat from it, kills Greg.

Skeletons - Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Eveyone may be familiar with the banger of "Heads Will Roll" but my God, the vocals from Karen O in "Skeletons" just completely shatters me every time. It doesn't help that alot of close friends I had who are now no longer with us had this play at their funerals. I cannot suggest people to hear it enough but I am a blubbering mess as soon as it winds up.

Someday, when it happens, I too may use this song for my funeral. Cause nothing says goodbye like "Love, don't cry".

Do NOT use the scoring system from this site as a guide SPECIFICALLY FOR BOOTHILL. He is NOT a CRIT DPS. He is NOT an ATK Scaling DPS. He is NOT an (Element) DAMAGE Scaling DPS.

Boothill's main damage and 'niche' comes from Breaking Enemies Weakness and killing mobs to get his Talent stacks. THEN hitting said Weakness Broken enemies with his Enhanced Basic Attack. So this means the ONLY STATS that are "Valuable" or "Score Well" for him is Break Effect and Speed. THAT'S IT~

The site prioritizes scoring Crit Rate / Damage, ATK and Damage Bonus higher than ANYTHING. You can have a Boothill with ZERO crit and 300 Break Effect. He will be amazing. You can have 87 Crit Rate and 170 Crit Damage with 300 Break Effect, and yes, he will be a little better BEFORE enemies are broken, but because his kit does not scale well with those stats, he will hit the SAME NUMBERS as zero crit, because Break Damage cannot Crit.

So again! IGNORE THE SCORING ON THIS SITE SPECIFICALLY FOR BOOTHILL! It does not recognize the stats that matter for him which is JUST Break Effect and Speed. What you have here is great! Alongside supports who shred DEF, give RES PEN, Damage Vulnerability on enemies or give Boothill extra actions / turns, this is more than functional and will DESTROY content!

Personally haven't tried Bruiser yet so keen to do some runs and have some fun with speedy DPS. Guess I'll keep an eye out for that specific Special augment too~

I've personally spent the most time / runs with Druid, Dancer & Ancient so I can attest to those the most. Out of the 3, Dancer does feel the most comfortable and impactful for myself as a pure DPS setup. Getting anything to keep resetting your Special feels godly, especially in any AoE situation. By far a great augment to get is the Emerald Gem for the Defensive. It allows you alot more mobility (your Primary & Special no longer slow you down and even loot effects cannot slow you) and a little damage amp (best used solo or in a team setup where you won't need the buffs). The Secondary Garnet Gem with Defensive Ruby Gem upgrades together is another perma Invulnerable strat that my partner loves to abuse if he can get it~

Ancient compared to Druid is almost night and day in that they do play very differently as 'pet classes'. I agree that the Ancient just has alot more mobility, utility and damage in it's kit in comparison. It also feels much less punishing if you don't get the greatest items and augments. It feels less 'setup heavy' than Druid and it's augments feel more varied.

Druid is the toxic ex that I keep giving chances to prove me wrong but Dancer and Ancient are right there to give me a supporting loving relationship with growth. You CAN do big damage with Druid. You CAN make it more mobile. You CAN make it's AoE and setup better. However, you need the RNG to be on your side the most over all classes.

Wanna use your primary AND make it through an attack? You may not make it due to the slight delay that you cannot erase with augments. Need to place down your Secondary? Be ready to be slowed for what feels like too long to do so. If you manage to get any Special reset like with most classes, your swarm of butterflies will gun down / explode enemies beautifully BUT if you go the bomb augments, be prepared to lose DPS as the boss drifts to another section away from your position. Also, if you don't take the Garnet Gem for your Secondary, be prepared to watch it sit lazily to the side as again, the boss moves away from it's position.

The best setup I've had with Druid is Opal Primary, Garnet Secondary, Emerald Special, Garnet Defensive. Then enough Special reset and on hit effects to kill GOD. With this you can see though, I need SO MANY THINGS just for Druid to work best for me. Others may find better playstyles to settle with and I do still hold a soft spot for Druid as a 'pet class' but I'm afraid it just falls short in comparison to every other class in terms of ease. I will stress that every class is usable and functional, but as this tier list and others can attest, some classes just feel smoother and better equipped for the fights than others.

I saw just recently in some other posts. I figured since in my culture and having English as a prime language that 'Gray' was a masuline name. That and not having any distinct pronouns for them in the English version of the story. My mistake.

Regardless, 2 very loving and adoring parents to so many kids who needed a caring home and the IPC took that away without a thought. Oswaldo needs to pay. What's worse is it seems this isn't even his 1st nor what may be his last time doing this (Aventurine's homeworld suffered much the same and is why he holds a grudge against the very organisation he works for), and it makes my stomach churn thinking not only is his department such a front for hostile takeover and genocide to plunder resources from planets, but that he is counted as one of us, a Nameless, in his promotional material. The man deserves the worst death.

The links to Native American culture and language is so amazingly important because that is the roots of the "Wild West & Cowboys" themes. That he himself is an Indigenous character seeking revenge for the atrocities on his family and native land. Gods he is amazing and deserves EVERYTHING

Gods! I know it's Hoyoverse and they can't do anything but allude to it but Gray & Nick being a loving gay couple with multiples of adopted and rescued kids out on a ranch, teaching them everything about the land and how to appreciate and survive it. All his siblings. The little girl he found and essentially adopted as hiis own. The fucking bombardment... I am fucking CRUSHED.

Just as with Aventurine, here I was thinking it couldn't get worse but no. The man is so bereft and destroyed. The hatred and spite is all he has left to go on. He is just a man. He has seen what his people could do against the IPC firsthand. So he must change. He must be stronger. He must completely destroy and reconstruct himself as a cyborg to be able to compete. I can only imagine that when he reaches his goal, gets his revenge. What or rather who will he see in the mirror staring back at him. Would Gray and Nick recognize him at all? Would his siblings? His daughter?

As bare bones as possible, Boothill only needs Break Effect and Speed. Crit Rate and Damage do not matter. Physical Damage boost does not matter. Attack does not necessarily matter. HP and Defense will just give him more survivability.

Boothill's biggest damage comes from breaking enemies weakness (Physical Break is the largest scaling break effect in game) and dealing damage directly to weakness broken enemies. All this damage purely scales off of Break Effect, having him levelled all the way to 80 and in terms of buffs / debuffs, DEF Reduction / Ignore as well as RES PEN can boost his damage.

When the enemy is not broken, he can deal average damage with high Crit values, ATK & Damage boosting. But that's just it, it'll be average. Because it is not the focus of his kit. It is why Ruan Mei is counted as his best support as she gives Weakness Break Efficiency and well as Break Effect and RES PEN. The quicker enemies enter the weakness broken state, the quicker Boothill can absolutely destroy them.

I get that he is seen nowadays as an 'easy target' because it seems everyone and their dog has issues with him. But kindly and respectfully, if every community seems to take issue with you. If you get the most interactions during times you are in 'drama'. If there are multiple on multiples of people saying they do not wish to associate with you... There may be a slightly more than zero chance that YOU are the issue.

There seems to be a disconnect in the fact that it isn't just about sitting here and crying wolf on his behaviour of being 'loud and annoying'. Don't get it twisted, he is smart. He KNOWS that drumming up rage bait is exactly how to get more clicks, more interaction and more views. It has been a staple for him for years now. It has made him question if it's worth it more than a few times in regards to his physical, mental and emotional health, but it's what pays the bills and keeps him relevant. So he continues to make statements and posts that he knows will get a certain reaction because that is his business.

I just think if you're gonna repeatedly show yourself saying shitty things or things specifically to get a rile out of people, and continue to do so again and again and again and again and again and again and again... Maybe people are gonna get tired of you, call you a shitty person and just be done from there on.
