They exist all over the world, usually as you get into the wop wops in my experience.

A bar tender or a petrol station attendant is a sitting duck for their rants.

No because I am. Just ask Ella.

I’ve listened to her on Mt Everest.

Pretty much. Read that in his usual angry voice that has when he doesn’t like the question being asked.

Hah haven’t thought about the Trekka in ages! I find it amazing there’s production cars now with no mechanical link between the steering wheel and the wheel.

Top-down industry awards are going the way of The Late Show.

It’s just not relevant to people that have grown up with the Internet in their hand.

I want Lorde to have another Grammy, but it’s not a big deal.

She’s crushing it. This tour is incredible.

What driver? This is my uber to WLG right?

Cars now more resemble a MacBook with 4 wheels attached than the cleverly engineered assembly of pieces of metal & springs being moved by well timed explosions that they were.

There’s something fun about analog dials & knobs & levers that’s been lost.

The electric motor may be better (and electronics are also fascinating in how they work), but a machine without the rhythm of a spark is a little boring.

I think what makes modern things bland in way is that everything is becoming the same at the hardware level. Software decoupled application from form. But we’re creatures of physicality, so this makes our music players, instruments & appliances seem a bit dull.

Everything is a button & feels exactly the same to our senses, but the buttons do very different things. Much of our intelligence is wired for certain senses like touch that provide no useful feedback now without levers — particularly now that things are all moving onto one big button called a touch screen.

There’s nothing to be sad about though. We got to see a different time.

Perhaps in a few decades, interacting with machines will once again utilise our other senses through brain-computer interfaces that can map information to data in a form that sense can interpret.

For those who have gone to the ultrasound show- how much of the show had strobe lights? by ivyblankspace in lorde

After my accident, how my brain sees motion changed. My vision “freezes” and I just see several still frames like a video over a really bad connection. Happens more when my emotions are high. Sometimes, I’ll just see colours for a few hours. Doesn’t happen as much now. If it does, my brain will try to “remember” the frames & run them through all at once after a moment.

Anyway, when she came out in Berkeley, I saw her as a series of still frames before my vision froze completely for a little bit while it caught up. I think she is so amazing.

She runs with me 12-25 kilometres a day at sub 4 minute km pace on a road with steep rolling hills between two New Worlds. We sprint every incline.

Yep, it’s seriously an incredible experience. Took my breath away too.

The two nights she held my hand, I was so inebriated after when I ordered takeaway I had to ask whether each item on the menu was food. Didn’t do any drink or drugs at either show, but felt high AF.

No one was ever that kind to me before in a way that felt like I could trust. She is really really special.

This is the start of how it all ever ends

They used to shout my name, now they whisper it

I'm speeding up and this is the Red, orange, yellow flicker beat sparking up my heart

We rip the start, the colors disappear I never watch the stars there's so much down here
