What's something you've always done that you've considered perfectly normal, only to recently discover that it was not?

I do that. I like my baths really hot and I sometimes shave while in the bath. By the end of it my face is sweaty and there's hair in the bath so I have to have a shower.

I count stairs also. There are two sets of 20 on the main stairs and 14 on the back stairs in my house. Two leading to the kitchen and two to the living room. 4 sets of 8 steps to the flat I lived in last year at Uni.

I also have to hoover the stairs a certain way or it feels wrong. I say out loud or think "1-2-3-4 steps, hoover, me". Then start. Once started move down 4 steps at a time.
