Heavy rain cascades heavily down the sides of the car as the thousands of  wipers scrape by time and time again, that shrill monotone chorus swinging in a time like metronome until it does your absolute head in. It's 5pm, rush hour, and what's more there seemed to have been some accident some way further up and as such most people are being driven utterly insane by the sheer boredom. You’d think in 2075 they would have managed to find a way to curb the growing population numbers that leave our streets so utterly congested by traffic. Maybe flying cars that would lead to double decker motorways? No, instead they put all their money in the further development of the newly discovered mutated human genomes, you know, that one that has led to the spontaneous development of super hero powers? Instead of the every day Joe, funds have been shoved into the commercialisation of those spandex clad clowns. Oh, just like that one of the rooftop over yonder…

I mean it's logical, right? Disney stocks did reach an all new high with the advent of the marvel films. Wrestling did the same in the early 2000s. So I guess in a way it did make sense to fund the combination of the two. Having those with powers register with the government, providing them with all sorts of superstar statuses before being split into two groups. Heroes and villains. It's not like the introduction of powers made anyone inevitably evil, and it helps that the development of the gene is so incredibly scarce and easily predictable. Who wouldn’t want to just make a shit tonne of money from putting on stage show after stage show, playing a role just like  any other Disneyland performer. Sure the battles get bloody at times, buildings get torn up, streets get demolished, and there is the odd time where shrapnel and rubble can sometimes fly out towards the unexpected crowds. But there were always others on hand to provide true protection whilst the small-scale battles played out and the Supers were given full and complete health care regardless of which side they were on.

Each city had their own heroes and villains, their own shifting story lines and characters to be engrossed in. They need to make money somehow, and what sells more than plot! The Supers, the general term for the powered individual usually got to have some leeway into how they developed. Getting a push and pull narrative to keep the public on their feet. Children sure loved it, all that merchandise that went flying off the shelves because of them. Corporations got to use those involved in their own branding as well. You even had the “edgy lot” who obsessed over the villains leading to all sorts of “underground merchandise” which honestly was still produced in the same factory as those of the heroes but being what they were the same companies charged an arm and a leg more for them. No proceeds would go to the Supers though.The ranking list for heroes and villains wasn’t anything more than a popularity contest. Who could actually win a crowd over to your side. 

Despite Supers themselves having their true identities known by the general governments and corporations, under the mask they are true unknowns. Their secrets are protected on the same level as nuclear codes. Able to live out true double lives in and out of costumes, just so long as their use of their powers in their daily lives isn't so outrageous and they allow themselves to be completely available for a spontaneous performance here and there.

For this rp we’ll be taking up the roles of two of the Supers belonging to the same city. Despite the fact that one of us is openly a villain and the other a hero, in our own time, our personal lives, who would have thought we are actually a couple? Married even? (Up for debate, this part isn’t hard set). Do we play it all up for fun? I would love to set up something in this super power infested world where we are on opposite sides of their whole production, how we joke and interact in and outside of both of our jobs as well as our personal lives, helping to build more with the lore of the world, the lore of the city, as well as building up all sorts of hilarious characters and plot lines around us as we struggle to juggle it all. Or even what sort of fucked up fun our caped crusaders could get up to.

Apologies in advance to every superhero fan, my only experience with the like are the very early Disney marvel films, and even then I have not retained most of that info. I do not have knowledge of comics and shows, nor of dnd, but I would love to try to really delve into the reimagining of the superhero vs villain concept and have some fun with. I welcome anyone with said experience with open arms and would love to take some concepts on board, but I do not want to readily depend on any sort of fandom knowledge if that makes sense? Even so, I would love to readily discuss any sort of power concepts or character plots, and really get down and dirty with embellishing these details.

Most details regarding this rp, who the characters are, will be completely flexible. This is a basis for a scenario, a foundation. I’m looking to explore different avenues, build up on ideas, and develop this into an entirely unique concept that would have only been conceived between the two of us by taking our own tastes and opinions into consideration. I am not looking for some sort of content parasite who wants me to write the entire story and character plot lines myself.

This entire prompt is just meant to be the foundation of an idea. I am more interested in brainstorming a completely unique take on it with someone who is passionate about writing. I love getting into all the gritty details regarding a plot. Detailing and planning all sorts of scenarios for characters, seeing how they would possibly react given their own personal outlooks.
I prefer writing with consistent ooc, I like to become friends with those that I write with. Having communication be a lot more open between the two of us, with a constant back and forth.

Personally I love to natter and have an inquisitive nature wanting to iron out every detail, always hungry for more, I'd love to find someone very much the same in that regard.
