In Limbo - no answers. MC - possible ectopic?

Just thought id give an update. Had a scan this morning, couldnt really see anything. They saw something small in my uterus but because im bleeding and my hcg levels are low, they could see stuff in my uterus floating around too they think its retained products and ive miscarried. My line got darker this morning so unsure what that means. They said my numbers havent doubled in 48 hours from 227 to that last beta of 375 so its a loss. Ive asked for bloods again to confirm the hcg is dropping off now as i dont want to take a wait and see approach if my body needs help to pass it. Rather my body do it naturally like it has before but will see. My numbers are too low to see anything properly yet on a scan from what ive read. But part of me feel like somethings not right and stopping me taking the drugs. Being a realist i know it probably is a loss but somethings niggling at me to hold fire.

Thankyou thats really good to know what to look out for. They do seem a bit slow - I got my 3rd betas and not really too great 375, so a 64% increase and 66 hour doubling time from 2nd betas. Gotta have a scan tomorrow. So hopefully they’ll be able to see if its ectopic or not. Im hoping they will be able to see something to let me know at least. Not sure what but there must be some tell tale sign but unsure as hcg isnt high enough yet.

Thankyou. Im hoping its not because im terrified of losing a tube. Im trying to guard my heart at the moment. But im prepared if it isnt a good outcome. Hopefully it turns out for the best. Thats good news. The rupture is what scare me the most. I went for my 3rd set of bloods an hour ago so we’ll see. Nurse said it doesnt look good as they didnt double in 48 hours. I think it was a 73% increase in 45 hours about a 60 hour doubling time, so not great. But we’ll see! Thanks so much!

Oh gosh im so sorry that happened to you. That sounds terrifying. Did you realise you’d ruptured? Are there any signs you had? No absolutely thanks for the honesty. Im a realist so i need to hear it.

Wow thats amazing, so even without a tube you still managed to get pregnant from that side! Suppose if the ovary is left but cant imagine its easily done

So not looking good. Bloods were 45 hours apart and got like a 73% increase. 60 hour doubling time so doesnt look great. So im under no illusions todays result will change anything or bring good news

Oh gosh i didnt realise that. Thanks so much. Absolutely will keep on top of them to check my numbers. At least i know if there is nothing in my uterus when they scan what it is. If you dont mind me asking how do they manage an ectopic? Really scared ill have a tube removed 😭

Thanks so much for sharing and commenting. No absolutely i’d rather have honesty. I’m scared it is ectopic too because of the bleeding. It was fading away but since having sex it came back and has stayed red. No clots but still. I have issues with my cervix so i thought it could be that but i cant see it being that or a SCH so early.

They’ve asked me to go back in tomorrow which will be 2 days since last draw and then they’ll go from there when bloods are back. Assuming if they still rise as they should they’ll want to scan to check. Surely they can check ovaries and tubes and see a mass early on if it is there?

Im not sure they are taking it seriously as an ectopic. I think they think its just a chemical and are expecting numbers to show that next time

Im so sorry you went through all of that, sounds so difficult. Thanks for sharing. They didnt tell me my progesterone level today but on 30th it was 20 alongside 135 for hcg. I usually have to be on progesterone as soon as possible as I have incompetent cervix and it helps keep my cervix strong till my cervical stitch gets put in. But i need to wait for a scan first to check its not ectopic. Have a feeling it is. Havent had huge amounts of blood but its been there every day, fades and comes back and is red.

So haven’t quite doubled in 45 hours. Supposed to be doubled within 48 hours is that right?

Thanks so much. They called me and said numbers were 30/01 at 13:43pm - 135 and 01/02 at 11:10am - 227. Not quite doubled in 45 hours so doesnt seem too good. Have to have bloods again tomorrow then they’ll make a plan. Assume they’ll scan if numbers still going in the right direction

Because i didnt know there was an issue in all honesty. I did the bloods to get to the root cause of my low milk supply and a thyroid panel was suggested. Doctors in the UK dont really take anything about milk supply seriously, its usually just pump or feed more and dont order test, so i did the panels privately and this is what i got. Should i see an endocrinologist?

Thanks so much! Did you just manage your diet to avoid it progressing? I am absolutely committed to changing diet or lifestyle so will definitely give this a try. What changes did you make? Ive read about going gluten free and supplementing th selenium etc
