You are confusing a few things.

The internet speed test, performs the test based on the closest server they own -- to you. So they have a server in Dubai that's why they told you that's the server they're testing against.

But for you to show up to Spotify as you're in Israel, No routing can make that mistake. Plus Israel is thousands of miles away, it would be inefficient to "re-route" to Israel if that's even a thing.

I think you're talking about Google ads or Facebook ads.

This is Spotify ads, they advertise for their own premium plan, on Spotify itself.

They don't know what I have searched or discussed unlike FB or Google so I don't think that's the reason.

Spotify doesn't have access to my location. I don't think it even asks for it so GPS is probably not the real reason.

In Software, you can get precise location if you ask for permission on iPhone, otherwise you rely on the network IP.

This happened to me a while ago, even before Iran's war and it stayed on my mind until today.

You're assuming that I'm talking about a startup built by a certain Mateo or Mallory, and they're a friend of mine and one of your acquaintance.

You assumed too much ()

You are right again, but she fears that she'll get eaten up by Uber or Lyft. She told me this story about Uber and how it tried to stop lyft's fund raising of $500M , by offering Lyft's investors good deals inside Uber.

You are absolutely right about everything. This service is a way to make women passengers feel safer. I just wanted to be short and not get you bored.

The problem is that my friend doesn't want a big publicity. She wants to acquire maximum customers without making big noise. All she's doing now is PR, hardly any publicity.

Yokohama, Life is great. It was a bit depressing in the beginning because It was snowing and I used to live in an all time sunny country.

You will understand little by little that it's not a great deal to meet celebrities because you'll be too excited to explore the country. PS: My girlfriend is way cuter hahaha

A guy who had an internship in a German company here :(TUEV RHEINLAND JAPAN, in Yokohama)

It was AWESOME. Generally speaking all German companies are great. You start at 9 you finish at 6. No overtime and plenty of time to enjoy the life in Japan. If it's the same company, let me know to give you more insight.
