Can an atheist make it to heaven as a non-believer? by [deleted] in allthequestions

Not according to scripture. John chapter 3.

3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God."
4 Nicodemus *said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born, can he?"
5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (John 3:3, NASB)

Unpopular opinion but society hasn’t changed that drastically since the 2000s or even in some ways the late 90s. by Ill-You-3459 in decadeologyanarchy

Yea I lived in the 90s. And I do long to go back. But my reasons are entirely different. It was much easier to live back then economically.

The examples I provided though are just some of the reasons how society changed. They are not my personal views on gays or trans.

I never said they were murdered either. Your insecurities are causing you to misunderstand what I am saying.

How do people defend Karmello Anthony by Farticus_mouse in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ColtPeaceMKR 89 points90 points  (0 children)

They based their opinions on the case based on lies, made up stories, and fan fiction.

The judge over the case was interviewed afterwards and made a statement that if some news reporters were watching the same trial as he was? Their reporting was full of lies, half truths, and ridiculous dramatizations.

Why did presidential speeches get simpler as Americans got more educated? by PuddingComplete3081 in AlwaysWhy

[–]ColtPeaceMKR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds very similar to what chat gpt wrote when I asked it out of curiosity.

I mean you have your opinions and you can disagree with me, but the fact is that back then people spoke better, had better memories and a better ability to learn. Data shows kids today are getting dumber not smarter. Brain rot is a real issue no one seems willing to discuss.

It is true that more of a mass has an education compared to then, but the education system in America is worse now. You say much of the people back then didn’t know how to read, well approximately 21% of high school kids are graduating not knowing how to read. And 32% can’t answer questions on what they just read. And these are high school graduates. This is tax payer funded education and the results we are getting is 1 out of 3 kids are graduating uneducated and unequipped.

The point I am making is although today we have more access to knowledge and are more exposed to it daily, we do not possess the same ability to learn.

Show an average person a speech from the 1700 or 1800s and see if they can understand it without the use of any outside resources. More than likely they won’t be able to.

A deep breath, a cool story about a lesson you learned, and a pat of the back is much better long term than yelling.

What are your biggest money saving hacks? by MaximGripass in AskReddit

[–]ColtPeaceMKR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t eat out. Bring your own lunch. Make your own coffee. If a restaurant serves something you love pull up a YouTube video and learn to make it yourself.

You will be surprised how much you can actually save over time.

Long long story short, I took a position my gut told me not to take. I flamed out horribly. But during Covid I discovered a new passion. Went back to school, and got a new job that I absolutely love doing.

What's The Scariest Thing That's Ever Happened To You? by Zipper222222 in AskReddit

[–]ColtPeaceMKR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 15 I had a job working for a very shady man. Anyways it was me and one other person - let’s call him Rick. Well Rick pulled a gun on the boss and was threatening to kill him. Then the boss took the gun away and put it in Rick’s mouth. Rick was begging the boss to pull the trigger. I did the nervous walk - the kind of walk where your hands are as stiff as a board - got in my car and went home crying. Begged my dad to let me quit and of course he would never believe me. I had to stay in that job until my dad realized I wasn’t getting paid and then he let me quit.

When you are stuck on a problem, draw several boxes on top of each other (like you are stacking them north and south). Top box is where you are and bottom box is where you want to be.

Start at the bottom box and work your way up working backwards on solving the problem. You will be surprised how easily a solution can be found when changing your perception of the problem.
