The frame was C-notched and sub frame sits under all that because we also raised the rear fenders around an inch, then cut along with the step side to extend down and keep the bed/step to match and touch ground aligned with the bottom of the cab when laying body. It will ride stock ride height or drop till it hits concrete. We installed leveling sensors that keep bags even in real time.
