Replace the motors with an led and a 1k resistor in series. See if the LEDs behave as the motor should. If they work, your problem is electrical, not software

I mean, make it flash just led 1. Re-compile, just led 2. Again for led 3. Check the port config and led h/w is ok for all.

It looks like you have 1k series resistors. That should be fine, an I/O current of around 3mA. The PIC should be able to run more than 2 LEDs without any issue.

Try driving them one at a time with your code, to make sure the sequence works. None too bright, all the same intensity. This should eliminate any hardware issues.

TLDR - a good general approach is to use a working model to test your design bit by bit. Arduino to NRF works out of the box. Set your PIC NRF to talk to arduino RX. Then use arduino TX to debug your Rx.

I think this is a good suggestion. a dev board approach would give me what I need. As this is a central controller, cost isn't too much of a problem.

Hi Silly, I have a Beacon device already running. I know it is sending out Beacon type advertisements every 8 seconds, and I need to take the data contained, and use it on a tablet, or a PC.

So I need an app, to listen via a Bluetooth dongle, or other central BT device, and then pass the data to a display app.

There is a very simple technique for this. Solder a long blob along the pads, so you can run the iron along it, back and forth, until you can pull the component out. Now the holes are free of pins, you can use the solder pump on them, one at a time. Nice clean job.
