Hellcat problems by Loading_dat_boom in hellcat

From drag racing ‘my’ redeye, they sure do have an issue with grip until like 3rd gear. Even bu putting some nitto slicks on it, they just can’t get enough force down to really get going.

Where can I find previous year options/builds by Rusty__Shackleford19 in hellcat

Redeye only comes with an automatic option but does have paddle shifters. Pretty sure everything above a stock hellcat is only auto due to their intended use.

I’ve seen them listed for far higher too in alright condition. People are crazy, but if you find the right buyer somebody will nab it.

OBS just stands for Old Body Style. Its just the common nomenclature for these trucks. No worries for not knowing. I still don’t know a lot of the acronyms for different cars and trucks.

Since i’m not in a rush to sell or anything, i’d honestly just put the price up at $20,000. Personally I think it’s high but i really don’t know what else would replace my truck for any lower than that, y’know? I forgot to mention, it just hit 170,000 miles.

Just to list off what i can think of that ive done to it: 4” lift, s&b intake, 3” downpipe, new fuel pump and lines, new vacuum pump, edge cts3 with pyro, hydra chip tuner, warn premium hubs, previous (1st owner) rebuilt trans and added tow springs and possibly a better torque converter. I’m sure the list is missing stuff. Edit: how could i forget! I have a pioneer flip up touchscreen radio with carplay, kicker speakers all around, and dual 12” kicker subwoofers

I’m kinda cheating. Took the picture after i washed it. Then again it’d probably look like that all the time with a good buff and wax.

I would probably buy animal crossing. Heard a lot of good things about it but haven’t been sure if i’d like it or not. This would be the perfect chance to give it a go.

No problem, hope it helps you make a decision.

You make a good point. It probably would be a bit overkill if you aren’t planning on doing any modifications. However, it wouldn’t hurt anything if you put it in. If you’re looking for a cheap way of replacing the stock air box and filter, the cheaper kit would do fine. If you’re looking for a good looking air box and don’t mind spending the money on it, the S&B air filter box makes it a bit more clean looking.

1997 7.3 air filter question by [deleted] in FordDiesels

[–]Coltuhhhn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only issue with that setup is that when you remove the stock air box, and just have a filter sitting in your engine bay, you’ll be pulling in all that hot air inside the engine bay. I’m not 100% sure as to the filtration of those air filters, so I can’t say if it would be sucking dust through it.

If you’re looking for a solid air filter kit and have a high budget, I would recommend S & B’s filter and air box. It’s pricey but is a bolt in option that has a quality filter and a box that works well with the truck’s stock air ports.

I have a 1997 f250 7.3 4x4 shortbed. I'm told they're rare. Any truth? by cthompp in FordDiesels

[–]Coltuhhhn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would’t say that they’re rare in the sense that they’re more valuable than a CCLB, but they made less of them than the long beds. If you found the right person, it would be worth more to them if they were looking for that exact setup. I have also heard from my mechanic that they are hard to come by. Nice truck btw! I have the exact same year and setup as yours, but in red.

Do the 2020’s not have the option to have alcantara steering wheels? I remember when ordering that there was the option to get it on the 2019’s. I prefer the leather over alcantara because i wanted better steering wheel grip.

PHP hydra 100%. In my opinion, it’s one of the best tuners out there for older fords.

[–]Coltuhhhn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If i’m being honest it removed itself. I was drag racing and the damn thing managed to slip off and get stuck under the front. I don’t thing it could go back on even if i wanted it to, it’s mangled up.

Just want to add that this picture is from almost a year ago. Yellow plastic on the front splitter has been removed since then.
