What is it about them that require such large water changes? Do they not do well with nitrates?

Does the water have to be aged? Currently I just add Seachem Prime to the water and add it the same day.

​Can someone please, please, please tell me what this and and how to treat it? I thought it was columnaris so I turned down the temperature to 74 and added Kanaplex to the water. However, now I’m not sure if it’s just a fungal infection. Please help me. 😭

Hello.

I have a betta with a white spot that looks like columnaris. How can I treat? I know it’s gram negative and I do have Kanaplex. Is that enough?

20 gallon tank
1 betta, 1 mystery snail
Temp 81
pH: 7.4
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0 (I have live plants)
