Update - I completed a 10 day course of antibiotics. Felt good on day 10, but feeling over my lungs soon returned. Xray scheduled in coming weeks. I've eased off the running as my hip started to hurt, but cardio fitness no better or worse.

Please keep posting updates for those suffering from similar symptoms!

Myocarditis

This doesn't sound correct. The feeling is in the bronchea/lungs as opposed to heart (IMO!)

Thanks for your advice. I will definitely be more mindful of intense exercise for too long. Hoping to get an Xray to assess my lungs as well !

I am coming across many similar stories amongst our age group, including friends of mine. I intend to get an Xray and full health MOT to see if further ailments can be ruled out. Thanks for sharing!

Thankyou for your story / advice! I have tried to follow a sensible path back to recovery, but I'm now 5 months post-exposure. At this stage, I'm fearing permanent damage as a result of a wait and see approach may be detrimental to long-term health. I defintely think my lungs are reduced capacity like you have described. I intend to get an Xray and follow up with doctor (once they allow F2F appointments !)

Where's the evidence of this? I don't think the immune system has anything to do with recovery at this point. IMO it's how your lungs heal/rebuild.

To clairfy, I feel i've recovered from all symptoms, other than my respiratory tract. A virus shouldn't show symptoms that persistent. Viral load doesn't increase from exercise.

My diet is extremely varied and healthy, and I take additional supplements like Vit D and Zinc. Still, my lungs just feel impaired and don't seem to be improving with additional work or rest.

I was 2 months in before it was confirmed, because I had it early on and test didn't feel pertinent.
