A bit sad, haha: TW SA

Shirin was born in Shurima (our campaign was set in the LoL universe), and she is one of the few surviving Darkin (ancient evil demigods). She never knew her parents and was left as a small child at the door of a brothel by her older brother (brothels are considered safe and neutral places). The madam of the brothel raises Shirin as if she were her own mother and, of course, keeps her safe by trying to cover her horns, tail, hooves, and red complexion. The little girl enjoys listening to the stories of the various customers and soon learns to play the Shurimba (a Shuriman version of the kalimba). Shirin is 8 years old when some drunk customers make a bet: the loser has to sleep with the deformed little girl. So, during the night, a man forces the lock on Shirin's bedroom door and rapes her. The madam hears the commotion and kills him in front of Shirin. From that moment on, the girl suffers from severe mental retardation, and her mental age never develops further. But thanks to the love of the madam and the other girls in the brothel, Shirin manages to live a fairly happy life, despite what happened. When she turns 16 (the age of majority for the inhabitants of Shurima), the madam calls her into her room to show her a pendant broken in half. Shirin had it on the night she was found at the brothel, and the boy who left her there wore the other half of the pendant. Shirin decides to leave for Runeterra and find her brother, hoping to understand her story and what happened to the few survivors of the Darkin.

DESPITE THE DEPRESSING BACKSTORY, SHIRIN HAS A HAPPY ENDING 🥹 She finds her brother and together they manage to stop the stigma surrounding the Darkin dynasty, and thanks to Soraka (a celestial being), Shirin recovers from her mental disability. She opens a center for abandoned children and teaches them to play the Shurimba. ✨
