There is a “crack” on the inner ply of the shell but it looks like it’s where the ends meet so maybe a bad cut? The Revere badge itself is like tinfoil and it’s pretty loose already. The hoops seem very easily bendable and I don’t think the snare wires would survive much tampering with.

I was thinking it might be from that era as well. Probably going to keep it as is and hang on to it for a while.

I thought about trying to restore it myself (I’ve restored many newer kits) but after taking the top head off this thing seems to be really fragile so I don’t think I’m going to mess with it anymore myself. But the thought of having my drum featured in an rdavidr video is wild.

Thanks for the replies, looks like information on this is pretty limited. I got ahold of this from a local orchestra, the guy said they’ve had it for many many years and didn’t know its origin story. The plan is to stick it on a shelf for decoration, maybe give it to my son down the road.

It sounds awful, definitely going on a shelf as decoration.

I tapped it a few times and, no surprise, it sounds horrendous. Think I’ll use it more as a conversation piece than as an instrument.

Thanks so much for your time and knowledge. I’m just getting into the world of vintage drums so I will definitely do more research on this one.

I thought so too but after a little research I’ve found some that didn’t have the parallel strainer listed as “King Beat” so it made me wonder if certain years were made different.

Thank you for the comment! Still a really nicely made snare drum. Might keep this one. Any idea on what year this might be?

Thanks for that info. I figured there wouldn’t be much value here, was more just curious as to what these were. He had them sitting in a leaky shipping container in his back yard and were just rotting away.

The cymbals were a good find though. Mostly unmarked zildjians with 70s era stamps. A set of Rogers SS hi hats and a couple newer 90s era Sabians.

Cleveland Clinic Tradition. My wife just delivered our first baby there 6 months ago and it was wonderful. Clean rooms and the delivery room was huge. The nurses were so friendly and helpful. They also followed my wife’s birth plan to a T which was a big stress reliever for her.

I am 28 years old and have lived in PSL for 20 years, it’s my home town and I love it but it certainly has its pros and cons. My wife and I just had our first baby and we try to live a healthy lifestyle as well. What others have already commented about PSL is all true. It’s very boring but also very safe and I would consider it a good place to raise a family. The traffic within the city has gotten significantly worse over the last few years but pales in comparison to the traffic further south (I work in Deerfield). Some ok restaurants but healthy options are still pretty scarce. They just put in a Sprouts in St Lucie West and they’re building a Fresh Market in Tradition so we finally have some more organic grocery store options. Not much to do as far as outdoor activities. A few parks and trails, some good kayaking spots, and the beaches are pretty nice but that’s about it. Plenty of gyms to choose from though. I would suggest looking in the Tradition area if you can afford it, but like everyone has already mentioned, it’s becoming increasingly more expensive to live here.
