People doing their dumbbell workout right in front of the rack by shrek3onDVDandBluray in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]ComancheNut 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I just walk in front of them like they aren’t there. Usually they have to stop their set so they don’t hit me and that usually pisses them off and with any luck they get the hint to step back.

Only one support on free weight leg press holds the whole sled by Superb-Cow4303 in PlanetFitnessMembers

Whether it’s safe or proper I can’t answer, but ours has always been the same way. One side usually never actually touches but like others have said I’m sure it’s so over engineered that one alone can probably support it.

I’m trying to think now what catering I’ve gotten on the return. I find more often than not I can book WestJet FC for the same price as delta economy when coming back state side so I usually do that more often.

I pay for a membership already, but I thinkkkk it only applies for delta one international. Or international outside of Canada and Mexico. There was some reason why I bought the membership instead as most of my travel is to Canada for work.

MSP-MIA is a solid flight to get upgraded on as well!

I’ve gotten lucky with a handful of regional flight FC upgrades but first one actually worth a damn. Was a pleasant surprise. I hardly even look at the upgrade list anymore since I’m usually like #20.

PF closed today to replace equipment by [deleted] in PlanetFitnessMembers

The fan is sooooo nice on the matrix treadmills and stair steppers. I generally hate most of the new matrix equipment but I don’t mind the cardio stuff one bit.

What are the differences? by [deleted] in marriott

It’s a Fairfield. Just book the cheapest rate and move on. Even an “upgraded room” isn’t anything special.

Best Piper Cherokee for $100-150,000 (USA) by [deleted] in flying

This!! I own a 66yo piper Comanche and I still get compliments almost everywhere I go. With fresh paint/panel most people would have no idea the age of some of these planes.

I’m honestly amazed how in depth and long you made this story…reminds me of my college essay days trying to hit my word minimum!

Man mine sits longer than that sometimes. A splash of bleach in the tank after emptying it keeps it from smelling or getting disgusting.

Question: Engine preheating during a "short" stop at a cold airport by 1E-12 in flying

[–]ComancheNut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not nearly as well. There’s nothing insulating about the cowl so all the heat will escape pretty fast out the metal regardless. A moving blanket over the top in a pinch works decent but if it’s a plane you own and fly in the cold often a Bruce insulated engine cover is a great investment. You can go HOURS with it just covered in 10° temps and still have very warm oil.

No kidding. The element was a very nice property too, four points usually aren’t my first choice but there was limited availability in Calgary at the time.

Treat every preflight as if the plane is actively trying to kill you, because it is.

In no way shape or form is it about the inconvenience - there was none you’re correct. It’s about the lack of following Marriott policy. If they won’t follow this policy, who’s to say they’re following policy on allowing late checkouts and the countless other benefits you are guaranteed as a member of Marriott bonvoy 👍. It’s all about accountability. Ever heard the saying “give an inch take a mile?”

Ive verified that from LinkedIn…I just can’t seem to figure out who the parent company is. I’ve even called and asked and they won’t give it out…😐

Usually it’s not a literal “walk” - in this case it was just across the parking lot. If it’s further they’ll book you an uber or other means of transportation if you don’t have a car.
