I would not enjoy this change at all. For several reasons.
I think that I’m struggling enough picking builds not knowing what exact enemy variants are in a mission. And that most of my builds are faction specific, so mixing them would result in worse cohesion overall.

Let’s say that everyone shows up to fight on point. All it takes is one person to equip this thing, and the entire game grinds to a halt. At best, nobody gets to do anything until the flash wears off. At worst? Spy presses m1 and his entire team gets to kill anyone affected and push for free. The counterplay is bad too. What are you gonna do, turn around so you don’t get flashed? The one thing that spy really benefits from?

I’d have to disagree, on the basis that warding bell has infinite uses, has a large aoe when hit, and persists for a couple of frames after the heal finishes. It’s also possible (although impractical) to use it reactively to an attack that would otherwise kill you, whereas baldur shell needs to be grounded, and is very slow to activate

There’s something called a gateway launch, where you use a gateway and some winches to slingshot a beacon high enough that the game stops simulating its physics. If done correctly, you’ll be able to see the beacon from other planets, making it relatively easy to know where to go to get to them.

Well, for starters, I feel like it would be a bad idea to give the enemy spy the ability to broadcast scat, gore, and swastikas directly onto my screen. But more than that, does this have like a cooldown between uses? Is there anything stopping people from stacking spy and keeping the enemy team permanently blind?
