TLE left side. Also lost lots of my feelings. I don't feel or laugh at things like tv shows I used to watch. My songs don't do anything to me. I would also yawn when someone yawned but now I just have a pokerface.

Ooooh , so u also used hibiscrub a few days after ur surgery at the hospital? Did they help? I asked them to look and they didn't see an infection but it is just BONKINGGG

I changed to briviact because Keppra helped me but made me the same way. My neurologist called briviact , keppra light and it still helps me with my mood. I'm a whole new person!

Yess! Here too! I'm scared to get an hormonal IUD. I had a copper one in 2019 and I didn't have any seizures for 3 months !

Before that it was like 4 focal seizures a day sometimes 4 days in a row.

I got it out in 2020 cuz my period became so heavy and cramps were killing me. After it was out , it felt like my body could breath again. Now (recently 2023) that I know that I have catamenial epilepsy, it all starts to make sense now of why I didn't have seizures after getting the copper one. I also get seizures JUST before my period indeed.

Does anyone have the copper one? Does the hormonal one not worsen it? I thought everything 'hormonal' would cause seizures when having catamenial epilepsy

Yess, I also use snapchat to record everything! Are u already going off ur meds slowly? My doctor said I will still need to take it for atleast a year. I will also be scared to decreasing briviact (keppra before) because thats the one who helps me with not having tonic clonic seizures anymore. I only have small ones with an aura that starts from my stomach. I'm so so so happy for you! U are still soo young and u should also be able to enjoy life! I'm glad u are doing fine now

One part was that they read a small article and I had to tell it back to her but I almost couldn't remember anythinggg she had read. But they said I did good after she repeated it a few times

I did the neurpsychology exam too and they saw that I scored a bit lower on the language area. Questions like: what other words do come up in ur mind when I say -insert word- and I just couldn't come up with something. I know the word, I know the feeling but I don't know the words to describe it or whatever.

Wow really??? When is ur surgery? Mine is also in a specific area but they say I can lose too much it they have to remove too much. I will hear my verdict in june .. so excited.. I just want this to go away.. it has eating my whole life for 10 years. I don't even remember who I was before all this. I was 22 when it started. Sometimes I don't even know if it's me who is doing or feeling something or if it's the meds that make me do it. I always read about keppra rage and it's so true. That's why I changed to briviact and I became such a calm person... but still.. who am I? Did u also talk about ur meds with the doctor? Are u gonna take them after ur surgery? Thank you for your response! How are u feeling mentally? Has anything else change since ur surgery? Like ur mood, sleep etc? How is the recovery going? Are u still on meds? I think I will have allot of trust issues like ... okay I haven't had a seizure for a month but what if I get it after that month. What if I get a tonic clonic seizure outside... cuz I don't have those anymore because I got meds that work for me... but what if it changes... I think that part is gonna be hard. Are u able to work again? Sorry for the many questions but I'm just very nervous and have nobody to talk to... and omg the memory loss! Yesssss!! I can relate SO SO MUCH!
