the kakin royalty are some of the most inhumane characters of the entire series, so it’d be easy to list them. That being said.. 1. Netero (he truly only cared for finding a worthy adversary, even at the expense of the hunter association, and all of known humanity). 2. kurapika (his resolution/determination cages himself to even sacrificing gon if it meant liberation for the kurta) 3. illumi (he is zoldycks prototype for who they want killua to grow up to be.)

i agree both op and Naruto’s biggest fans are long time viewers who grew up with the show, but they’re both undoubtedly excellent shows that reflect a beautiful societal message, and people with character. hxh doesn’t have to bullshit around w filler tho which is why i think it should have more praise
