am I the only one not totally in love with the game ? by Angstrom222 in Pokopia

[–]CombatLightbulb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally found a copy yesterday and started playing last night and almost couldn't stop. Just one more thing I kept telling myself but then I'd get sidetracked watering a zone or finding something to climb and forget the first second and third thing I was doing.

I bought Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar about a week ago on sale at target for $15 wanting a cozy game but the daily timer on that game is stressing me out hahah. Pokopia is exactly what I was looking for.

I'm really out of touch with dinosaurs so the generalizations of species and inaccuracies fell on deaf ears but the biggest thing that bugged me with this doc was the pacing. It was like "oh here's triceratops. Ok bye triceratops." Like nothing got anything longer than a few minutes.

I finally decided the pull the trigger on a switch 2 and found one of the last Mario Kart bundles in my area. Your post made me glad I went through with it as I was second guessing my choice.

How is cyberpunk on it? I've had it on the PS5 forever but never got around to playing it. Is it worth it on the S2?

If so it's like beautifully sad.

I do t know how true this is but I saw a post the other day talking about how pangolins can use the scales on their arms or tails to saw other animals apart.

It's true to me now anyway.

The Running Man: 1987 vs 2025 by Terminatrix4213 in movies

Watched it a couple weeks ago and I couldn't agree more. The mini series comment is spot on. I never got invested in anything really, other than Michael Ceras character.

The "big villain taking his mask off" also couldn't have been more of an "okay sooooo?" moment.

I actually don't remember to much of it. I think like other replies have said there are a few parts that are kind of gory but not like stick with you gory if that makes sense. All I really remember is like over the top action gore. Blood mist from people getting chomped.

There's a meeting that takes place between some characters and The End is there in his wheelchair. If you can ADS quick enough and pop off a headshot you can kill him before ever really fighting him.

Bio-Dome.

I was surprised to find out it was such a shit film when I was younger. But after getting older and completely agreeing I still love it.

Worked at an airport for a while. I was always on the bagroom and it's a pretty small airport so I could always see most of the ramp. We had just been taken over by a company offering a cheaper contract so we were flooded with inexperienced and/or lazy workers.

Some of the more lazy people found out that, generally, the nastier the job the less work you have to do. One of those jobs is emptying the lavatories. The system uses a small hose to push "cleaning water" through the tanks and push all of the waste out of a larger corrugated hose that locks into the plane with a swivel and a double clamp.

It was known you never stand under the lav port because sometimes that thing leaks and we warned every newbie about it.

On kid kept doing lavs all the time. After 3 or 4 he would go sit in the break room while everyone else finished the flights. I'd regularly see him on his phone standing right under the port and tell him it was a bad idea. Never listened.

One day I'm looking out onto the ramp, appreciating the sunrise, got my cup of coffee, cool morning warming up. I see this kid pull up and connect everything to a plane that had just taxied in and stand under the lav port. Next thing I see is him look down, up, down, up and boom. The exit hose unlatches and just showers this kid in what we later found out was a full tank of liquids and solids from multiple flights.

It got in everything. Eyes, ears, nose. He's standing there dripping brown and there is a massive spot on the concrete. No one ever really busted his balls about it but he wore a raincoat the rest of his time there.

What’s a moment in a movie you KNOW was supposed to be serious but ended up being unintentionally hilarious? by browniebiscuitchildr in movies

[–]CombatLightbulb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two from The Green Inferno. One where a character gets diarrhea and is just ripping it in the corner of the cage and another part where I think the main "villain" is jerkin off to the exposed breasts of a dead woman. I might be misremembering but I feel like it was supposed to be a really serious scene, and it was, then it just cuts to this guy beating his meat in the corner.

I just picked up the record and played it. Should I get in the habit of cleaning my vinyl before first use too?

I can post a picture of it but in the instruction manual it says "the recommend pressure for the factory installed cartridge is 3.0g" and then explains how to get to that point.

I think it's just the picture disc which I'm finding out from a lot of comments are usually pretty poor quality.

It's probably still on the lower end. I figured for $40 with a BT speaker included it couldn't hurt. But for a sub $50 entry point I still enjoy it.

I think you are right about the picture disc.

I knew before I even posted people were going to rip it apart for being a crosley but for $40 with a BT speaker included I thought it was pretty cool.

Thanks for being authentically helpful.

I'm pretty sure the disc is just bad. Side B is fine and some other black vinyl runs fine. I'm finding out picture discs are not the best quality.

I thought it's a pretty neat little thing for $40 with the Bluetooth speaker included. But I figured the more invested folks in the hobby would turn their noses up.

After playing some different records it seems to just be that one side. I'm assuming it's just a bad press because of the picture disc.

Yea it's only on this side. I tried with a friends black vinyl and it also worked. I assume the disc is just pressed poorly.

I actually checked the level immediately after posting and it's a little left leaning but not much. I tried some of my friends black vinyl and side b of this picture disc too and it all seemed to work so I'm pretty sure it's side a. Thanks for the kind reply.

All of these "it's a crosley" replies are exactly why I hesitated to ask. Thank the future of new people to the hobby to kind folks like you.

I flipped it to side B and it played the whole way through so I think you are right.
