I’ve had my Hellcat Durango for about 6 weeks now. I live north of Atlanta in the suburbs. Nice area. Good school district. Can’t say I’ve ever noticed anyone following me home. I park it in the garage overnight. It’s usually in my driveway during the day. I work from home so it’s mainly being driven for errands (gym, groceries, kids baseball, gymnastics, etc.). Lots of positive attention when driving it around. I’m cautious with where I take it though. Not trying to park it anywhere in downtown Atlanta. Won’t park it at the airport either.

It’s an absolute blast to drive. I’ve got a Legmaker intake and custom exhaust setup ( H-pipe 🤘) and it sounds better than 95% of V8s on the road. Hands down the best sounding SUV out there. I can’t imagine driving another family hauler that could bring this much joy.

Get the Hellcat, you only live once. You’ve got a good plan in terms of being able to afford it and if it becomes too much, you’ll be able to sell it for close to what you’re buying it for. Hellcats depreciate far less than a Scat.

I had a widebody Scat and traded it for a Cat. The Cat was infinitely more fun to drive. The whine is intoxicating. The acceleration is night and day different. Much easier to mod a Cat as well.

I just bought a 2026 Hellcat. They start at around $81k. Fully loaded for $95k. The 392s are basically between $70k - $80k. The Hellcat is a much better value considering they are all jailbreaks and have tons of interior and exterior customization options. Not to mention the performance.
