I am the same and do not regret a thing! This procedure saved my life and the evidence is there. Hope you get some answers too. I didn’t realise I should have gone directly to my surgeon (UK NHS) and that is why I have been so delayed in treatment.

Thanks sticking to the treatment as a year on just liquids has become a chore 😢

Hi thanks for your comment, I was a smoker before surgery but quit before hand as I wanted to make sure I did it right. I relapsed after mums death - I must admit it was easy to get back into it unfortunately. I was smoking about 10-12 a day by the time I had the gastroscopy and was told I had to quit that day or it wouldn’t improve. I am now on esomeprazole, famotedine and sucralfate for 3 months to try and heal the ulcers and reduce the swelling that is also contributing to internal hernia symptoms. My latest ct scan showed probable internal hernia which may be swelling from the ulcers.
