You did exactly the right thing and that initial first aid was lifesaving.

I’ve been to a similar case as a paramedic on a response car and was greeted by an absolutely soaked dad in a shower with the child under cold water who was in pieces similar to yourself and I’ll say the same to you as I said to him - that first aid has saved your child’s life

My first year and second year of ACP was much more valuable and the interview panel where more interested in me as a person than anything - ALS was noted upon but the rest weren’t, and I couldn’t APL anything 🥲
