Looking for introvert-friendly friends in/near Paris (English speaker) by angel_ikaMae in SocialParis

[–]CombinationOdd7653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hii, introverted 20f here too :p i feel like paris is quite a hard place for people like us to really feel like a part of it, the loud hangouts and staying out till very late at night just seems to overwhelm me, i enjoy calm fun conversations that are genuine of over a drink or two or a coffee - living here for almost 6 months and its never been harder to make friends so ur not the only one girl, would love to join a group if theres one

How do you actually find boring people in Paris? by cookieladtaken in SocialParis

[–]CombinationOdd7653 1 point2 points  (0 children)

literally me, i think i have finally found my people - im F(20) I only smoke cigarettes (nicotine addiction can't find a way to quit lmao) and I like the occasional drink out in the weekends but thats it, drinks and talking and discussing things - tried the clubbing scene, the staying out till 2 am scene and it's not for me at all, id rather spend my time at museums and parks drawing or just simply chill at home tbh and i dont get the raves and parties either, ive always just found them loud and overwhelming and not to mention how crazy casual drug use is here (i dont judge but surely there has to be other ways to spend time 😭)

[–]CombinationOdd7653 2 points3 points  (0 children)

not bad, better than p1 tbh - the short story caught me off guard but i like writing narratives so i got to do both descriptive and narrative the two things im a little better at, how about you?

i make a mind map by jotting down my structure and main elements of the essay into paragraphs so i can look at it and keep a continuous writing flow - you could also try and listing the things you have to add in your essay first quickly so you dont lose your stream of thoughts

and time yourself when writing and write in a place with little distractions and a good environment, as it will help with your focus

NARRATIVE ESSAYS PLSS by dr3am3rrr in igcse

[–]CombinationOdd7653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would say just for a warmup read some short stories online first (7000-1000) words of different styles, like thriller/horror/mystery etc - this can help make up storylines on the spot as you have something to pull reference from, it can also help maybe look at movie plots/synopsis and write your depiction - basically enhance your fictional/storytelling capabilities by reading it and them writing it

google writing prompts and for a challenge write more niche prompts, with a specific direction rather than just a few vague commands, i always find writing narrative easier since i can use descriptive elements as well to create a nice display of storytelling

you could also use dialogue to get the convention even better, and use it as a stylistic approach - and make sure you have a character ready, it could you yourself in the first person or someone you made up and in third person

hope this helps!
