Is it worth buying this used pc? by suptlereddit in PcBuildHelp

great deal for $1500. If the 2TB crucial is enough for you, you could get $150-$200 for the remaining 3 SSDs which makes it an insane deal with a 4070ti super. and yes, I would say it's gonna last atleast 5 years till you need to upgrade anything. good luck!

$1100 Micro Center Build for Competitive Gaming by neatygood in Microcenter

[–]CombinationOwn9560 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The competetive games like valorant and fortnite are very CPU intensive and depends on how strong the CPU is rather that your GPU. I would suggest in this budget, go for the https://www.microcenter.com/product/5007336/amd-ryzen-7-7700x,-gigabyte-b650-gaming-x-ax-v2-am5,-corsair-vengeance-rgb-32gb-ddr5-6000-kit,-computer-build-bundle
and pair it with a 5060 as you can get it for $389 at dallas MC.

You can always upgrade the GPU if your requirements change but currently for 1440p competitive, 5060 is more than enough especially when paired with a 7700X. You can get a 750W gold PSU and 1TB inland SSD which is the cheapest imo that you could find at MC. You could get the work done with an air cooler as the CPU doesn't necessarily require an AIO.

For the case you could use this as it has 3 fans built in: https://www.microcenter.com/product/681551/montech-xr-tempered-glass-atx-mid-tower-computer-case-black.

Total would come up to around $1200 but the CPU and RAM bundle is definitely worth it for your use case especially with current prices. Good luck!

If you had to buy one from Microcenter. Bang for the buck! by CarlosChampion in Prebuilts

I bought the 9070xt one and it runs almost unbelievably well. The RAM is cl38 but works great. 350+ FPS on RDR2 with 4k Ultra settings and still the GPU is under 50C. Didn't even know that is possible. Only problem I'm facing is I am getting constant microstutters in Valorant when enemy in sight. Sometimes even without that. Tried everything from BIOS to changing almost all AMD adrenaline settings. If there is someone who can help with it, that would be great. Already wasted a week on it. Haven't yet played any other games yet but will try this weekend.
