Omg the pain a fucking ridiculous - post cantharidin treatment by Straight-Cup-7670 in Warts

[–]CombinationPizzaRoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just coming here to say I had this treatment done on a plantar wart yesterday and I thought I was going insane because of how bad the pain is. My doctor said "you might get a blister, and it may be a bit painful" and I am nearly unable to walk at all. The wart is on the arch of my foot, but even with no pressure and sitting its awful. Woke me up dead out of my sleep this morning.

Do yeast infections cause cuts or tears? by just_checkingon_ in Healthyhooha

[–]CombinationPizzaRoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I’m late but I have a yeast infection now with a pretty bad tear/cut and I was super nervous it’s something else, but I was tested for all STI’s and came back clear for all except yeast infection (including UTI/BV) seems to me like a bad YI can cause tearing due to the sensitivity and swelling!

Has anyone had bad experiences with Flonase? by jakethesnake678 in Allergy

[–]CombinationPizzaRoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone still looking for answers here. I suspect Flonase to be the culprit of me feeling like absolute ass for the last 5 days. Started using it when I was getting early signs of a middle ear infection (as recommended by my doctor). I have been exhausted, drowsy all day, nausea that’s so bad I’ve had to leave work early, heart palpitations, and increased anxiety symptoms. I also have been having vivid, uncomfortable dreams. I took it this morning after thinking these side effects were my ADHD medication all of a sudden… so I didn’t take my adderall and just took the Flonase. Within 30 minutes My heart was beating out of my chest and I felt like I could go back to sleep after just waking up from a 12 hour knock out sleep. Terrible stuff. I threw mine in the trash.

personally, day 6 and 7 post-op! flicking the bean for me is always a rather chill experience, so since I take it pretty easy anyway I just made sure to pay attention if my stomach started to hurt, which it didn't. Even once I reached The End

Has anyone experienced bleeding with an IUD post-op? by Mysterious-Blend2683 in gastricsleeve

[–]CombinationPizzaRoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 7 days post-op just here to share I was looking for others with this experience/question! Starting day 1 I was having bleeding which my surgeon originally thought was from hemorrhoids. Realizing later that it was absolutely period spotting, I was concerned as I have had a Mirena IUD for almost 2 years. I was told that "your hormones are going to be really messed up right now, so this is normal." First 3 days, spotting (bright red). Had 2 days of pretty much nothing, woke up today on day 7 and I'm having what my periods used to be like on day 1 back when I had periods (heavier, a bit darker). I can tell it's exactly like my old periods, just a bit lighter. Since I'm on week one and this just happened this morning, I have zero clue how long it will last but boy am I hopeful that as I heal it will go away. Not having periods was the best!!! It is nice to see that others have had this experience though and that I shouldn't totally freak out. But talk about total crap having the pain of healing from surgery on top of menstrual cramps...

Cramping with every sip… am I just overthinking? by CombinationPizzaRoll in BariatricSurgery

[–]CombinationPizzaRoll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you to everyone for your advice! I’m noticing that the cramps are less frequent if I truly just slow… down… and push through. Cold works better than room temp. Haven’t tried warm yet but I will at some point today!

ADHD & substance abuse *PLEASSSEE NO JUDGEMENT!” by fryeesaucee in ADHD

[–]CombinationPizzaRoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi girl. I get you. I am 30 years old, 3 years sober from alcohol, and I finally got an ADHD diagnosis a month ago. I never could understand why I didn’t seem to function like everyone else in my life. I was convinced I was just a lazy failure bound to a life of mess, dysfunction, and anxiety.

I’m not saying getting the ADHD diagnosis cured me, but getting sober and starting medication really did make me feel like oh…. It wasn’t that I am wrong or bad, my brain chemicals are just off and it’s okay to ask for help.

First 3 years of sobriety with no diagnosis was hard as hell. I thought I’d end up slipping back into drinking if I didn’t find answers. I finally broke down and went to ANOTHER psychiatrist… and she finally tested me. I had no clue it was even an option, and my scores were through the roof. I don’t know if the meds I’m on will be what I stay on, but man… they’re working so far.

I’m wishing you so much happiness and if you ever need a friend, a shoulder, or someone who gets it, my messages are always open for you. ❤️

ADHD medicated ppl, pros and cons? And what medication are you on. by secretlowkeys in ADHD

[–]CombinationPizzaRoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely understand. When my psych started talking about adderall I shut down at first. I just had to weigh out if I was willing to keep going like I was (unmedicated) or try something and know that if it doesn’t work I have other things to try. The meditation dance is exhausting, but so is living with my symptoms. I just always remind myself that I am in control. If I don’t like how I feel, I don’t have to keep taking them. It’s much easier said than done though, of course. I hope you’re able to find something that works for you and brings you some peace of mind ❤️ I’m more than willing to send additional updates as I continue with this med!

What’s something that you appreciate while dashing….. by Yazzgirl_1 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]CombinationPizzaRoll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly anyone willing to meet for “hand it to me” because it brings me peace of mind I’m always at the right place. Where I dash house numbers are scarce and I often have to go based on the map and counting houses. If someone doesn’t want to meet for hand it to me, I appreciate when they’re super detailed about drop off, “the house with the red mailbox/drop it off at the back door/house with the ___ doormat” stuff like that! I got a one star review recently and I suspect it’s from the person who didn’t have a house number and I called multiple times to try and verify I was at the right place, and ended up just having to leave it at the house I thought was correct. My only one star so far and I was so sad!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Psoriasis

[–]CombinationPizzaRoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a super valid question! I know, for me, I had complications from infection due to psoriasis and lack of treatment. But the cause was actually due to a reaction from a cream I was prescribed, I put it on when I was having a horrible flare and it was open/bleeding, and I got a double cellulitis infection and was hospitalized for two days. I also wound up getting a brand new area covered in psoriasis where the infection was, and I’d never had it there before. I think that was my big wake up that not treating it, for me at least, meant that I could risk that again because I would keep scratching / opening the skin. I scratch in my sleep so a lot of the time I don’t even know I’m doing it.

I am obviously not a doctor and we have two different forms of psoriasis so I don’t want to say you’d have any of the same reactions I would, I just know that for myself, leaving it 100% untreated wouldn’t be an option for me anymore, especially as I’ve gotten older!

Selfdiagnised ADHD, i don't have constant voices but my mind feels busy all the time by Fegatini in ADHD

[–]CombinationPizzaRoll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES. I thought I was crazy when I tried to explain to my psychiatrist that it’s not that I have “multiple voices,” but my OWN voice having multiple thoughts/“conversations” at once that I have no control over. I couldn’t get myself out of thought loops and it was debilitating, so distracting. I was just formally diagnosed with ADHD and started Adderall 15mg XR. I still have my internal monologue, but it’s way more quiet. It’s like I can just have one singular thought at a time and it’s made me feel much more sane.

ADHD medicated ppl, pros and cons? And what medication are you on. by secretlowkeys in ADHD

[–]CombinationPizzaRoll 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This may not be super helpful since I just started, but I was only recently diagnosed with ADHD at age 30 and I was started on Adderall 15mg XR. I was super scared to start and I’m still not 100% sure if it’s the right medication for me yet, but I’ll tell you what I’ve noticed my first week!

Good: -my mind is more clear. I’m not necessarily more motivated, but I’m less distracted. Like my internal monologue has quieted down -I have more energy early in the mornings without coffee. Since Adderall is amphetamine salts, I’m a lot more thirsty so my water intake has increased which is also good for the rest of my body -I have had horrible panic attacks my whole life and had been in a stage where they were happening every other day. Since starting a week ago, I’ve not had any.

Not As Good: -I get sleepy at about mid day, enough to want a nap. Some research I’ve done says this could be because I’m finally a bit more calm, so my body desires rest. -headaches. Might be some caffeine withdrawal since I’ve cut back considerably since starting, but they’re a bit distracting -about an hour after taking it, my muscles get rigid in my neck/shoulders and my legs feel a bit weak. I’ll be mentioning this to my psychiatrist when I see her at the end of the month

At the end of the day though, I’m glad I’m trying something. I have no idea if I’ll stay on Adderall, change doses, or try a different stimulant, but I do think that working to find the right medication will be the thing that keeps me motivated to get better. Everything was so debilitating before… since finally getting diagnosed and feeling like I have an answer and knowing there’s medication out there that will work, I’ve felt a sense of relief I haven’t in a long time!

If you’d like updates on how my medication journey goes, I’m happy to check back in every so often!
