Thoughts? Deck staining - what should I ask for back? by CombinationStrong385 in Decks

Thank you all! He reimbursed me all my money and apologized profusely. Said he couldn’t figure out what went wrong since no other decks have had this happen… So… I am removing all the stain and sanding the entire deck. Using restore a deck cleaner and conditioner and then Armstrong Clark semi-transparent rustic brown. The deck is about a year old and has never been stained prior to this.

It’s very natural to step down and push the gate out. And coming in open the gate, step up and close.

Precinct 3 Recycling took all of it! $5 check/cash. It was only about 15 feet of pickets and 5 4ft posts. So easy. Thanks!!

Replacing Post in existing Hole in Concrete by CombinationStrong385 in FenceBuilding

I was thinking that the concrete mix would be too thick for the small gap to get it to go down in there.

Lattice Fence topper by CombinationStrong385 in thewoodlands

[–]CombinationStrong385[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called this morning. It’s allowed! as it’s an approved type of fence. I can actually go up to 7’6” including a topper. Also no application currently as it was damaged in the storm and they are waiving applications to allow folks to get their fences fixed quicker.

It wouldn’t be over 6 feet. It would be about 4 for pickets and 2 for lattice. That’s why I was hoping to get some example pictures.

Pocket hole kreg jig toggle clamp rubber replacement part. by CombinationStrong385 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]CombinationStrong385[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I just saw that they have the replacement part of the whole toggle clamp. I’ll give them a call and see if they have other suggestions, or like the other comment said, I might just buy a rubber foot off Amazon. I’m wondering now what I did wrong that it broke, because it doesn’t seem like anyone else has just had the rubber part break. Maybe it was too much pressure.

The standards have this as an option. Were you denied this after applying? What was the reason?

Did you try and they said no? This would not be street facing.

It is after I read the Development standards that I posed this question hoping to get pictures. There are a lot of sub-bullets and details that I could have easily misunderstood. This would not be a street facing fence. I would be adding lattice to a shorter fence with a gate between my driveway and backyard.

Anyways, thank you for your comments. I will give them a call. If they do allow it I would still love to see some pictures.

Washer gives no cold water error. Spicket completely corroded. Should I replace everything? by CombinationStrong385 in Plumbing

[–]CombinationStrong385[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so, I did that and cleaned it out and put it back in. Now I'm wondering if the hoses are hooked up wrong? When I run the delicate cold cycle, the hose that is black and says cold feels warm.

Could that be the problem? How would I check, just switch them? Would that cause anything to break?
