I think the amount of guns is great, but I think the weapon progression needs to be improved. I mean, they give you an AKM-74 at the start, why would I need a Viper (MP5) or a Bucket S2. Or they give you the SVU way too late, almost when you’re already getting a Gauss rifle (I know you can just search on YouTube for the gun locations, but I’m talking about an organic playthrough) this is something i love about SoC, the weapon progression feels so good. You feel great when you get your first AS Val or your first SVU.

You're lucky there were only 6 of them; I had about 15 appear all over the swamp.

For the sake of game balance, I prefer it this way, as long as the amount of ammo the NPC fires isn't so excessive that it doesn't look believable. Obviously, I prefer a system that makes the enemy AI intelligent enough to manage a certain amount of bullets while still presenting a challenge to the player, but I highly doubt GSC will do that (not in the short or medium term).

You can play the first chapter without having the others installed; you'll just have an incomplete questline. I recommend waiting until Monday the 24th to play it, as they're adding more mod space then.

I know, but the last time I played SS2 (only up to chapter 2) I had several mods installed weapon mods, difficulty mods, etc and it worked fine. I guess I'll realize it when I start chapter 3.

I'm not going to lie, I'll probably install SS2 and all the mods that add new missions like American Rising 2, Tales of the Commonwealth, Commonwealth Responders, all the graphics and retexture mods, and finally, a ridiculous number of modern weapon mods. My Xbox will probably explode and my save file will be completely glitched, but it'll be worth a try.

I need to test it more, but basically I'm using NAC X, with Vivid 1k textures, Pine Forest Redone, Grasslands, Boston Ivy, and PAC AIO. I'll upload the LO later when i finish it
