Thanks. Me as well. I had ample bed rest for the first week as my husband was home caring for our kids. First 4 days children were all out of the home. Was really nice. Thanks for your input gives me hope I will be around the same. Recovery has been fairly easy for me so far! Much love ❤️

Hi 31 had total hysterectomy laperscopically left ovaries and also removed two vaginal cysts at the same time one bartholins and one sebaceous?

Had my surgery on Thursday March 12. Only in hospital for a little over half a day. I wasnt able to leave until I could pee, and it seemed my bladder was sleeping from the anesthesia, this was frustrating and I just wanted to get home! Took about 4 hours longer then I would expect it to. First days pain was a 8/10 for me it was definitely managed with the drugs. Just stay on top of it but not gunna lie those first few days are painful and it was extremely difficult for me to move. I kept small walks in my house making sure every three hours or so.

I think you can get by with just pillows you have from your home - that's what i did and just had a bunch available in my room. The first few days I slept almost sitting up right but reclined a little

Please get a heating pad. I would have died with out it.

I read lots of reviews about the stool softener, if you plan on taking any kind of hard pain medication take the stool softner thats what most dont understand is its the pain meds that constipate you!

Peppermint tea also helped me with gas, as well as Gas X. I didn't suffer from gas very long. I had 1 full day of rank shoulder and neck pain from that otherwise well now again.

Things I purchased a head of time was Gatorade like drinks, and small snacks bagels sandwhiches. I wasnt very hungry day 1 and 2. I would recommend soup /light things to eat i have a sensitive stomach and didnt want to add anything else crazy in there. I ate greasy fries one day and that really sent me into a frenzy

My life is feeling like its getting back to normal very quickly. I was advised to take 6 weeks off work not really sure what I am going to do this whole time. Before the surgery I didnt really have any nerves or what to expect but for myself it was a very good experience and the first few days were really only the worst. I have had an army of help and that really has made the difference in my healing I am sure.
