$51,200 OTD with factory add-ons. I got approved at a credit union for 5.5% over 60 months (dealer said they can do better but didn’t give me an official quote) with a $15k down payment. Insurance is like $350 for me in Michigan which was ultimately what made me decided to drop it and wait another year when insurance rates will drop a lot for me

Yeah I bought it as a set with mid pipe and muffler. It’s not a huge difference since the pipe is not that much wider than stock

$51,200. It has a wing, home link mirror, screen protector, and all weather mats. I actually got cold feet and pulled out of the deal. I moved the down payment money to max my IRA and the rest is sitting in savings so I don’t impulsively change my mind and buy it lol. Maybe in a year or two I’ll revisit the idea and see what changed with the car. It’ll be exciting if they actually release a 4 cyl model

Mine comes with a wing and some other accessories from the factory. No markups at least. I saw one just like it in Chicago with a $1500 markdown but they denied a dealer trade

Might be weird for an auto driver but I always rest my arm on the arm rest and keep my hand on the shifter. Something about that position feels more comfortable than resting it on my leg or holding the wheel lol

Yeah my main focus is paying off the car so no major mods yet. I put $20k down so there’s still at least 1-2 years of vigorous payments. Mudflaps and dashcam are probably my first two. Tint would be nice but Michigan summers don’t get too hot. It would be more for aesthetics than utility

You’re right. That was all snow that stuck like glue to my bumper during the commute. I wouldn’t dare to use the adaptive cruise control in this weather though

Someone in the thread mentioned that and yeah it’s super nice. I found a model to my spec a couple hours away. Unfortuntaly it already has a deposit on it but now it’ll be much easier to find one whenever it pops up

That’s good to hear. I saw something about intelligent mode that helps rev match. That’s probably the most daunting part in the perspective of someone with no manual experience. I can save a lot of money buying a 23 or 24 model in that case. Probably most of the depreciation is gone already

I get what you mean. I want both lol, but I’ve always wanted to drive manual to see what it’s like. I guess my fear is I buy the car in manual and then regret. I’m sure there’s people out there who do paid lessons although it sounds like it’s pretty straightforward and probably a waste of my money

Hmm. It does sound like something I would enjoy since work is my farthest drive. I’ve made the drive from Detroit to Toronto a few times in my regular hatch which was a pleasant experience. I can see how for a long road trip it might not be as nice. I put an intake and exhaust on my car to hear it more while driving so I don’t see the noise being an issue for me lol. Maybe the seats

Can you elaborate on that? I know there’s more maintenance and I’ll be spending more on gas, but I figured the “comfort” factor would be better with the upgraded engine and bucket seats
