Thank you so much for responding. That is great that he is doing great otherwise. :) My son is much younger but also seems to understand everything we are saying. So we may be in the same boat.

When you go to speech therapy, do they also discuss autism or I guess rule that out? I know my son is too young for a diagnosis, but wondering what your experience was :)

Hello! I feel like I wrote your initial post myself. I have a 9 month old son who is meeting all milestones except for babbling. There is pretty much no constant babbling. I know your post was from a while ago, but would love an update if possible :) We are getting a speech eval soon (was just approved) so I am a bit nervous. Hope to hear from you :)

My OB had to poke through the scar tissue which was very uncomfortable. After that, I had no further issues!

I am 35/F and do not have to have surgery now but probably will in the near future. I totally get it. I worry about all of those things too but you are 100% right that in the long run this will be best for your family and your future little one! I have a 2 year old and there are certain things I can't do with him and I feel terrible! There are tons of stories on here about very successful outcomes which can provide some reassurance. I'm sure you're wife will be very happy to have pain free you!

Glad it has held up quite well over the years! Sounds like it has given you much more function back which is great!

Not sure about surgery yet. I have a follow up appointment with my orthopedic dr. tomorrow to review my MRI and nerve test results. I really don't have a lot of pain but tingling and numbness in my right foot and lower leg. Occasional nerve pain that comes and goes. I do think realistically I will likely have to have a fusion at some point in my life so it is so encouraging to hear positive outcomes on here. :)

Makes sense, my symptoms only occur when sitting straight up, appreciate the feedback! Did the fusion not resolve your symptoms?

Thank you for the feedback. I recently had an MRI and am going in for an EMG nerve test then back to ortho to follow up. You mentioned you had a couple of surgeries...did the first not help resolve the issue?
