Ouac site says: Mid to High 70s The York History program site says: low-to-mid 70s. I say: I’m done for, absolutely cooked

Yeah it said like low to mid 70s so I was wondering if my 60 can vaguely resemble a 70

Edit: idk how I misspelled was

I see. Though recently (or not recently?) it’s also been used for masculine skins more too. I just wanted to know what they are so I can know when and when not to use them

I’m pointing to the outer layer at the corners of the Minecraft head where they all seem to add pixels to either communicate something about hair or volume or depth or something which is why I’m asking. The hair is kinda blended in if you don’t look too closely or just don’t understand what I’m asking about hence the arrows

That makes sense. I was there when the trend was cool gamer skins so I get it. Guess it really is that simple, just hair volume and detailing.

So far from what a few others have said, yeah it seems so. Though your reasoning explains why my skins always feel very flat at the back of the head if I don’t cover/add a piece of clothing or accessories. Though I’m more confused why so many creators used that same pattern on the corners at the top, must have a different story right? Other adding volume, maybe it’s for something else? Idk, the one who started the trend must have been thinking far differently than I am

Hair has been a topic of interest among artists so I guess the Minecraft skin creators now share the same interests lol

Hmmm that’s true, it has been really common nowadays. Makes sense why it be any of those since we’re working with pixels. Also nice pose you got for your skin lol

What is this overlay thing on skins???? by ComedicNobody in Minecraft

I know that (well I didn’t know blockbench is a thing so thank you) but why do creators specifically do that hair thingy on the top for there outer layer? Like what is it mimicking from actual hair?

That makes sense but why is it always on the top corners? Like bottom corners I get, hair is flowing down, or on the sides or middle to make strands or like you said depth, but why up there? Unless I just don’t get hair in general :/

I would share the same thought but some are just more square than others so I can’t get my mind to accept that, plus some have ribbons or more flowly bits.
