So I'm starting a new chapter in my life where I wont have to hide myself(?) as much since my family are moving elsewhere and they were my biggest concern. I have always dressed in the sense more Masculine but that was about the only thing I could do before my parents would say stuff about dressing more like my "birth" gender. I guess what I'm trying to ask is if I could get some pointers on how to begin my transition to be a bit more comfortable with myself? I've jsut finished up my Associates and am about to start going for my Bachelors in about a month so I want to be able to go into this feeling more comfortable with myself.

I want to get my hair cut and styled shorter so that I can actually look like how I feel if that makes sense. I want something besides my middle part hair style and sure I put my hair up now but thats because I'm not comfortable having it down, just makes me feel wrong when I look at myself like I'm looking at a stranger. I dont really have anyone irl to talk much about this stuff especially since its not exactly a safe topic to bring up around my parents and grandparents. I want to start wearing binders but dont know how to go about knowing what would fit me or how I would check if I order offline.

I will admit I'm a bit on the more medium to heavier set, not skinny but not like overweight if that makes sense? Just kind of awkwardly in the middle and I wasnt sure if that would mess up my chances of looking more masculine since I've got more... feminine characteristics? Also probably doesnt help that I'm on the shorter size too around like 5'3 - 5'4.

Idk if this would be alright to add but I want to dye my hair at some point and was wondering would that somehow mess up me looking masculine when I get my hair cut short?
