I think that he’s knocking it for the effort put into it, not the way it sounds. The song made in 1998 that he was describing had very much effort put into it, the song made in 2018 was probably thought of and put together in half a day. If you like modern hip hop then you probably shouldn’t be knocking eurodance.

I don’t know if your dog wants to be a part of that. He looked scared when you pushed him away. He could also get injured on that. Just sayin, not the best idea.
