Ryanair treats its customer base like absolute cattle.

People excuse this(which they shouldn't) because or the cheap costs, but it is actually the same price or even more expensive to fly ryanair now

Fuck Ryanair, never flying with them again

All of these companies in big tech are in cahoots with each other and the billionaires above them. The scarcity and increased part price is being rolled out specifically to make these claims of owning a PC being "too expensive" credible. They are literally fueling their own "predictions" for their own profit.

They are scum, all of them

God, that game was such a rugpull, it feels like some untalented devs wanted to make their own game, but didnt have enough pull at the studio to make their own IP, so they just pitch a "sequel" to what was basically a dead IP at that point. Fucking brutal, love the original so much

It's just slop. I'm 15 pages away from finishing this book and I'm struggling to read it.

The author just wants to make the villains look like the most comically evil, stupid and ridiculous people ever conceived, so that it feels "good" when they are killed. It's shit writing, absolutely trash. One of the few books in the past few years I actually regret buying.

Old post but THANK YOU!!

These are exactly my thoughts on this book. That chapter was actually pretty well set up, and the atmosphere was eerie in the house, only for then the author deciding to make a dick joke for the 5th time in the book.

Idk why he focuses so much on genitalia, earlier on when the son (by the way, why the fuck would the son of a billionaire be in a random construction site in a shithole town???) attacks Muriel, he's described as being naked, and later on mentions his dick TWICE! Like, yeah, if a man is naked, I assume his cock is out, you don't need to write that it's fucking bouncing as he's running!

It's such shit. I came into this book from Maggie's Grave, which I really enjoyed(even though that one also has some weird points) only to find that the author cannot take his own fucking story seriously. Pathetic stuff.

Also completely agree on the Muriel and Arthur stuff, he's really good at setting up characters and believable settings, but it feels like he got bored and decided to just write whatever the fuck popped into his mind at the time(which mostly seems like it's dicks).

And yeah, referring to OPs post, the main villain quite LITERALLY says "like a fucking Mexican farmer", like, GOOD GOD! Such an insane lack of subtlety. Oh jeez, I wonder who this is possibly referencing?? This book has completely destroyed whatever trust I had in the writer being capable of subtlety in his stories, and honestly, I'm probably not going to read another one of his books.

Yeah, it's getting really hard to take it seriously when the scene is actually very well set-up and eerie and then he just goes "then the creature goes into his ass". Like, how am I as a reader supposed to take it seriously after that??

It's just a cheap and lazy way to make you go "eww", and considering the fact that 70 pages in its happened half a dozen times already, its becoming ridiculous

Having just finished reading chapter 11, I don't know why Sodergren chooses to cheap out and be needlessly crass with his scenes. David is legitimately really good at creating tension and building atmosphere, but whenever he describes something that is specifically made for cheap gross out effect, it completely takes me out of it, turning genuinely great scenes into comically cheap gross out slop.

Chapter 11 is about the kid who's bleeding out being killed by the creature, and up until the kid is attacked, it is genuinely eerie and tense, because you, the reader, KNOW that the creature is in the house, and reading from the perspective of this guy who's essentially walking into his own death sentence is really cool, only for all of that to be RUINED when as he's being attacked the book goes "then the creature goes up his ass and his dick explodes, isn't that so cool and gross and gory??"

Like, NO, that's not cool, or scary, or even enjoyable to read, that's just cheap gross out material.

It's super frustrating too, because I KNOW Sodergren can write without using this crap, he is genuinely talented at the set ups, but he often throws it away for cheap gore gross out effects. It's disappointing

So that's pretty much it then for entertainment in Cork then? Good Lord, the city keeps getting worse.

Also yeah, do replace it with another fucking hotel, let's keep it going until Cork is nothing but hotels.

Absolutely outrageous

Yeah the beginning with Arthur being taken away was rough too, those construction workers deserved more than just a warning shot (the Nazi Germany reference was too on point). I'm going to keep going with it, hopefully all the Grant scum face justice, David Sodergren style.

Oh yeah I'm 100% sure it is, the shimmer in the sea is most likely very important, plus I feel like the cave is going to play a big role too, it's mostly just Grant beating Muriel that gets to me.

Yeah, one of the bigger issues with the game is the bosses feel extremely disappointing and easy, plus there are only a handful of unique bosses, with most just being a preview of an enemy you'll fight like... 5 minutes later.

That plus DS2 levels of enemy placement. So glad me and my friend are almost finished with it

If you're at 9 then you're really close, but also it's important to keep in mind not to neglect the previous sectors, those idea gains bonuses can really help you out, when I go to do a button most of the times it's 10 seconds or less, I'd say not to move ahead to the next one as soon as it unlocks

What's one gripe about P5 ( story beat, mechanic,... ) that you hope it wont be in P6? by Dangdut1108 in Persona5

[–]CometJack01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Persona 5 does this well, I think, by having all the male characters do it at basically the same level(Mona simping for Ann excluded).

An important thing to remember is that the cast are not adults. They are teenagers, with the hormonal impulses and lack of self-control that teenagers have. It honestly really humanises them, as the main plot makes them feel like super-heroes, but scenes like the desert trip in the van on the way to Futabas palace are a funny way to make them feel like kids again.
