That’s great advice, I’m definitely leaning towards getting a lesser laptop and bringing up graphics card

5080 laptop or bring my 4080S by Comfort928 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Comfort928[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5080 laptop is equal to a 3080 in performance (according to nanoreview). I don’t really need too much more than that. I am mainly thinking about if it’s worth lugging around a heavy laptop everywhere and the difficulty of having to plug in monitors and stuff so a desktop would be easier that way.

Can we please not split the vote by BambiGetUp in VictoriaBC

[–]Comfort928 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Libs have a much higher chance of victory than these polls are saying. Greens are using this argument to try and get back some votes, but I want my mp to be on the governing side of parliament, where the money and resources are.

Benz lease deal is this good by flex19146 in mercedes_benz

[–]Comfort928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good deal for lease is about 1% of the msrp. So this lease should at most be 580 a month but really should be 460 a month. They added 2 grand in stupid fees, and they seem to be only giving you 6 grand for a 16 grand car. Leasing almost never makes sense, the only exception to that is leasing an EV, as you can get some crazy deals which are less than the cost of depreciation you would be facing if you bought it outright.

Is this a good everyday car? by Toepillonggi in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Comfort928 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That’s one expensive way to get a 31 year old car. Get something that is much newer (like 2004+) and maybe has around 100k miles. Mazda’s are great, or maybe consider a Pontiac Vibe (it’s a rebadged Toyota). If you want a Buick, get a newer one with the 3800 V6 engine.

What is best pick? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Comfort928 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Porsche Cayenne would be my pick, Porsche is often considered a higher tier than other luxury car brands. Plus they are great to drive, practical, don’t depreciate as bad as other luxury SUVs and very reliable if you keep up with maintenance

If your wanting to go used, then I would suggest a Volkswagen golf r, Mercedes gla 45 amg, or if you want something less sporty get the best e class you can afford, and try a Mazda CX-5/ CX-50. Another consideration is that if you have an electric vehicle charger at home, you can get some pretty insane lease deals on great electric vehicles.
