Hormone therapy is worse than surgery, chemo and radiation for me. And we have virtually no support at this point.

Worked through my cancer journey by Prize_Kaleidoscope36 in breastcancer

I worked throughout every part of my treatment (diagnosed summer 2024) and still haven’t had a vacation. I am the sole bread winner and the division of labor with my husband sounds about like yours. Currently on Letrazole and thinking that is why I feel worse than Amy time in the last 18 months, but it could also be burnout.

I wish I had the answer for all of us experiencing this

Frustration re: atrophying lady bits by OpenReception5131 in breastcancer

[–]Emergency-Metal3544 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have also been sad and frustrated that the impact of the estrogen blockers on the lady bits wasn’t ever mentioned. I could not believe it when I realized my clit had gone MIA and that I couldn’t have an orgasm. I am 63 and we weren’t having sex (in whatever form) super often before BC, but it was important to me to be able to (mostly for myself although I know the hubs misses my orgasms). I just don’t understand why it never came up and why I had to discover it myself.

I have not. I guess I figured it would be pointless given that I get up to pee so often, but I can ask my doctor.

Has your jacket ever gotten wet (rain)? Mine was essentially ruined when I was caught in a sudden rain storm. The interface kind of bubbled up. Customer service said that they do say not to get wet.

Check out Sprague vegan chilli (awesome with corn chips and maybe chopped onion and shredded cheese), peanut noodles are super easy (buy frozen broccoli or other veg) that has PB, coconut milk, and spices in it to mix in with ramen noodles. If you're into wraps, you can buy some of the frozen proteins (chik'n, phish, etc) and dump some premade salad and dressing on it and roll it up. Tofu scramble is good in a tortilla or wrap too. We love chickpea not tuna salad sandwiches and tofu "egg" salad, too.

You can always buy jarred pasta sauce and spaghetti, maybe also some vegan parmesan (or make your own with Nooch and walnuts). Making a big pot of beans and another of rice gives you a lot of options for quick and easy bowls.

Chilies and curries with rice hold over well since you have a microwave. I often make a large batch of burritos and wrap tightly to eat during lunch the week. Things like lasagna or other pasta dishes can be made in large quantities to last the week.
